motor fix?

      i snapped the contact off the end of my 3.0 motor. HELP PLEASE!!!

      put a blob of solder on the remaining bit of contact

      what remaining contact? the farkin thing snapped off in the hole when ibent it up to cut it. please say it’ll work again, i beg you!

      if you put asolder blob on it it will melt the plastic. You cant just drop a blob on it as it will not bond to the metal.

      Why did you bend it?

      I’d like to say its fixable, but the contact is directly connected to the brush. If you can salvage a brush/contact from a 1.0 etc,it may be fixable.

      you might have to dissasemble the motor and resolder a contact to the internal wiring….

      yeah what he said but its very fiddly work….i almost guarantee when a motor of this size is pulled apart, it probably won’t work very well again…

      say no more. it’s life has ended. I’ve seen the inside of an ericson phone motor and it sounds a bit 2 fiddly. thanks for the ideas though.
