Hobbico was prompt in responding to my range problem with the new PRO series MS. I actually had 2 issues, I broke the chassis clip that holds the heat sink in place on another car. They sent out a new chassis which I received in 2 days. Popped in a KIT 2.6 and I’m happy. They didn’t have any Pro chassis available cause they’re too new. I decided to return the Pro (Pro#1) to Toys-R-Us for exchange Saturday. That night I tested the new Pro (Pro#2), range was “excellent”, 20′-25′! That was about it for the good, now for the bad….. it was very slow in the unboosted mode, much slower than Pro#1, and not much better in boosted mode. Couldn’t get it to steer straight, adjustment didn’t help, and it was noisey, as loud as my Lxx Booster. Then came the discovery, the actual car I returned to TRU was not the Pro#1 but the new chassis I had gotten from Hobbico the day before with my KIT 2.6. While I had both boosters, I decided to test the Pro#1. Pro#1 ran so clean and much better than Pro#2. And the range was the same! Turns out the range problem I had with Pro#1 was not in the car, but in the Tx. Glad it turned out like that cause I would’ve been returning Pro#2 due to steering issues. So Sunday morning back up to TRU to get my MS w/KIT 2.6 back and return Pro#2 to them. All worked out, got my 2.6 back and got an “excellent” Pro with the range of a clone.
