Since the last code update to the site I’ve been trying to get a bunch of small improvements to the site enabled.
The first of these is the ability to upload and STORE your own custom Avatar on the ausmicro.com server.
You can now choose between one of our range of existing Avatars, ‘link’ to an Avatar that is already on the web or UPLOAD your own personal Avatar.
To change your Avatar go to your “Control Panel” (or click the Icon below your logon Name in the upper Right corner).
Then simply select “Edit Avatar” from the “User options” menu and use the appropriate method to select your Avatar.
Enjoy.

You have a couple of limits….
50kb File size
64×64 Pixels
GIF or JPG only
In the near future larger Avatar sizes will be enabled.

Trash, that’s right in a way – and you’ll still be able to link the Thumbnails from the gallery section but the whole images from the gallery section will possibly be no longer linkable.
Also with the larger sizes of Avatars we’re talking about the ‘new’ thumbnail size will not be quite right.
I’m finding a significant amount of bandwidth going out of the server for pics that aren’t being shown on ausmicro.com, just hosted here.
