Just to put it ‘out there’ I’ll probably be up some time in the next 3-4 weeks. The goal is to have the Blue R34 running some very nice new electronics and Not break the servo gears like I have every other outing.

The MR02 project may see daylight there as well…. Assuming parts turn up. Ofcourse it doesn’t have electronics …. yet

*laugsh* Well if the parts supply is a crap as it seems to have been (No chargers today guys, and my big box of bits from Japan is still ‘somewhere’) It may be next year 🙁

Seriously though, I have a few things I’d like to get workign so i can bring up some serious running gear!

Which weekend is racing? Is it sunday 22nd?

      Where is it held?

Some 1:1 scale car enthusiasts might come along with their r/c cars too…

And it looks like I might be there too 😉

There is a big Mazda cruise happening on the Saturday and if we manage to find decent accom for a reasonable cost, we will look at coming up for a sleepover!!

OK The deal is done – Kitty and I will be there next weekend (Sunday teh 21st). We’re goign on a Mazda Club Cruise ont he Saturday, then on Sunday we’ll get ourselves over to Meadowbank.

Things for me to keep in mind. Taking the MX5 and it’s got sod-all space so I won’t be delivering much! Nor likely to bringing much int he way of cars to run. Probably bring a uRS4 and a ‘Spidered’ Z or two.

Hopefully by the end of today I’ll be able to charge batteries again!

      Aaron, Kitty,

Those car’s of yours need some action and something to compare to performance wise… You know you Wanna :p

      Kev,
Your Blue 01 PN mount is at Dave’s house for when you show up next…

I also got to give a couple of runs int he MX5 to people going full-blast up and down the hill from the picnic area. Was nice to really push teh car to the limit 🙂

      Speaking of pushing the limit…

I have a 80 + kph mini z and managed to over clock the Tamiya speed checker at 99 kph of load…
      Picture and video to come.

All this with a 2×4 stack, iWaver Xspeed Pro, And a 15tp…

Im thinking the iWaver motor is a rip from Atomic Z2 or T2
because of the spiral armature in the beast…

Catch me if you can :D:smiley2:

      Where are you at z-beam…

Are you still in the Dural area and are you going to make a showing….

As for motor’s, I just got a Anima but its not fully broken in as yet… In saying that i was happy with its performance straight out of the box… +50’s with big pinions.
I would love to test both the Anima and Sabre together but can say all in all they should both have real potential… People are buying them because
motors such as the Atomic motors are way out of there price range and from what ive seen people saying…. You cant go wrong with the 2 Pn motors in question and that they are the best bang for your bucks when it comes to Hot motors… I do Agree…
      Performance + ! ! !

Im going to (maybe) save for a Atomic Z2 and/or T2 motors, (way to expensive people) they are realy pricey like $100 + for the 2 of them together not including postage, failing that i will maybe get another iWaver X speed pro because ive not had a problem with it and has allowed for me to get my latest top speeds….

Every second Sunday is Tempe and last Sunday was rained out. Unfortunately, my clark rubber tiles won’t join with the supa cheap auto ones due to the middle peg on each side of the tile being different – so I won’t bring it.

No probs, I’ll bring my soldering iron for you.

I better start slow chargingsome aaa’s for the mini-z’s…

i’m totally impressed with my TT01, you certainly had a bit of trouble keeping up kevsta, although withyour cartuned to the surface i’m sure it will be the other way around, but for now i’ll take the win, hehehe

I had a great time, wish there was less wind down at the park. Your airplane flying skills are damn good.

I’m surprised to see so many people rc’ing there now.

Looks like I have to re-visit thexxx main guide…LOL. Didn’t realise that just putting a stock motor would affect the handling so much… I swear the car handle on rails with a silver can in it.

hehehe, tell me about it, a tiny bit of speed stuffs up the whole setup, i had the same problem with my silver can with only 5 kph increase.

thanx for the compliment, i’ve been flying for about 6yrs & as i mentioned i learn’t in wind stronger than that, but i still managed to scare the crap out of myself when it went over the mangroves, phew, lucky to get that one back.

we generally get a few more people than that each week, i think the early morning rain scared everyone away

here we are, 6 weeks later… been a while since the Sydney crew had anything to say, so here we go… fair number of Z racers yesterday, TD, peteWah, MM, big Dave, Chris (introduced to mini z last week, he bought an OL yesterday…) and myself. Minor size track, only 12 squares, making up a medium L shape, due to lack of room in lounge room. Interesting with OLs on the track at the same time as racers, suddenly there’s alot less driving room, but it’s all part of the fun. Pics will be added in the next couple of days, hopefully including Pete’s tail slides with his OL… pulling it off over most of the track in the end he was… overall, mad day, and no sun burn due to being indoors! Big cheers to big Dave too for manning the tongs last night!! And cheers to everyone who dropped by, it’ll be happening again this Sunday!!!xp1700.gif

The lambo is cool, I like Big Dave enjoyed driving it so cheers for that…

And whoever cant pass my OL should learn to do so if they can because i wont have a racer to run for a while so a second track is not an option because i would have to stay up at Dave’s all night building it….
Get stuffed and learn to drive i say :pif you cant get around me i am happy with a bit of this rubbing, hitting, hacking and smacking

      Why complain >> LJRC regardless

we need a bigger track just for the hell of it aye.

      ahwell i can dream.

      Dude you were doing well,
When was the last time you raced a Z and on a track that size .

We had been racing that setup for a good week and a bit SO
you will get better with time and driving like we do it is required that if we are of line that little bit to give the racer behind a chance to pass without knocking him out…

      In other words,

If your a good racer you will make the pass back after correcting your line on the next pass, don’t knock a racer out just because he is passing you and your stuffing up… give the man some room as he should give it to you in the same instance…

I’m liking the slow-moe races with No touchy laps 😀

      :p:p:smiley2:

one of these days i’llhave to put my track together… i’ve got plenty of time now so I guess I have no excuse!! Pete; I get round you most of the time (and in front up the inside… lol), but occasionally wind up doing the same thing as TD… and you wind up on your side.

Hey if you can pass me anyone can, just like i was able to hold you out from passing me for 8 or more laps the other night….

That shit was RAD :D:smiley2: We do have to talk rules :dead::huh:

Sorry to hear about your foot.. hope it heals fast.

It was a good day, Dave cooked up a storm with the gourmet rissoles and thick sausages and the z racing was awesome… the action was so quick it’s hard not to hit a track barrier.
