I can happily announce that TOMY has finally caved to the demands of it’s Bit Char-G fans and the WILL BE producting a special Micro B 1.6 (16,000rpm)motor.

The motor, which should be available late May/early June 2002, offers the fastest acceleration AND highest torque of any Micro B motor released thus far and is designed for small andcurvy desktop surfaces.

This will bring the official TOMY Bit Char-G motor line-up to SIX versions:

• Micro B 1.0 (10,000rpm)
• Micro B 1.6 (16,000rpm)
• Micro B 2.0 (20,000rpm)
• Micro B 2.2 (22,000rpm)
• Micro B 2.6 (26,000rpm)
• Micro B3.0 (30,000rpm)

HobbyLink Japan has them listed in their upcoming products, but don’t have the button there to pre-order. It’s on the same page as their other upcoming Bit Char-G products (Supra, NSX, etc.).

Maybe they’ll just completely replace the 1.0 with the 1.6 in their car sets. I can’t see them issuing new cars (Supra, etc.) with the 1.0. Of course, I can’t see aSupra with anything short of a 2.6–but that’s just me.

when/where is/was the 2.0…..I don’t think I’ve ever seen/heard of one before.
