I’m sure many of you would be aware of “riceboy” culture. You know – 1:1 cars with lots of plastic and useless cosmetic mods. Here in Australia (and most places around the cosmos) they have shows, where the proud owners of these….err…. “creations” can show off their handiwork.
There’s something of a travelling roadshow in Australia for such events, called AutoSalon. And last weekend they were playing in my backyard (well – only a few kilometres away) for the Sydney 2002 show.
This year, Aaron and I somehow resisted the urge to head along. See – for the first time ever, 1:10 scale nitro and electric racers would also be on-show, with a massive indoor track being set up for the event. We knew that it would be a good opportunity to (1) Spread the word about micro RC racingin Australiaand (2) pick up a new engine for my 1:10 scale Merc.
Alas – we didn’t go for a number of reasons. However, the nitro and electric kids had a great time by all accounts. A thread covering some of the action (with some GREAT pix
) can be found at this page (just scroll about half the way down to the first pix.
Who said that RC racing wasn’t a sexy hobby?
Hehehehe. Unfortunately, we’re gonna need SMURFS to model with the Bit Char-Gs and Digi-Qs…..
Cheers

What every good car show has is cleavage….
So it goes, that Bit Char-G’s need cleavage to…
Here’s my thought on this subject…
You get hold of a lass with ample, ummm… cleavage, and position the car within the, ummm… cleavage…
Of course the model will need to sign a release form…

Given the nature of this site “where size does matter” and we’re all enthusiasts, thought all the readers here would love to have a surf through this guys site:

In particular, have a look at “Super Micro Car” (1/2the size of a Digi-Q)and some of the specs on the “Micro Car” (about the same size as a Bit Char-G . . . with a CCD camera mounted internally !).

Oh. My. God.
That is INCREDIBLE!!! Love the work done with the CCD, too (however, the smallest CCD car is ‘only’ 1:24 scale).
Great link!
