something i’d always wanted to do was make a full propo, full suspension micro. i’ve just been far too busy procrastinating to actually get it done….. until now that is!
the plan was to turn all this
into this
and i’m happy to report that i nailed it!:approve:
mr02 pcb (irf 7317 fets, chopped motor tabs)
80mah etec lipo
bcg 2.6 motor
zzse front chassis, servo
enertec micro charger rear end (7.1:1 gear ratio)
modified front, custom rear suspension
donated humvee wheels/tyres (props to steelwoolghandi :topstuff:)
zzmt h1 humvee body, custom slope back and paint
all controlled with my futaba 3pk
the propo is awesome, it can crawl along slower than an ant and clocks 23kph on the tamiya checker:eek:
you can see the complete build diary here:

that is so awesome betty, youve made a miracle! if only that beast was available for purchase… id probably get 4 of them heh…
i shelled out for a pair of x-trek pros, and allthough they are propo steering and speed they twitch like a strung out junky at anything over 1 meter from the TX. sad really, kinda put the nail in the 1/64th coffin for me…

thanks brudda!
big thanks to ph2t for the camera work/file rendering stuff. and commentary!:D
the best micros are home built, if say kyosho brought out a full on 1:64 no one would want to pay the $150 us it would probably cost. they’re already having a hard time convincing people to buy the new lit chassis at $140 a pop!
just for a laugh, let’s cost this little bugger. all prices in usd.
$25 zzse
$20 zzmt (for the body)
$70 mr02 pcb
$15 enertec (for the rear end)
$5 die cast (for the wheels)
$12 lipothat’s over $140 and that doesn’t count a charger or the $300aud i spent on the tx! imagine a labour cost on top of that!
but to me it’s worth every cent;) :8ball:

Looks great and surprisingly stable.
Yeah, running a $300 tx on something that tiny seems like overkill, but that’s about the only TX with a flat enough area to drive the car on top of! 🙂

I downloaded that vid on my extra slow dialup connection, and it was worth EVERY HOUR I waited..
yeah, that thing is incredibly stable!! Do you attribute that to the rear susp.??
My fast Bit (even my stock ZZSE) roll with the slightest bump…

I just sifted through my micro gear and found a hummer body with lights (betty.k’s work), a half cannibalised ZZSE, a Mini Z PCB, some KIT Racer gears…I think I might try this one.
Good work dood!
