my rusler is having issues im running a 7 cell with a 20 turn and 17 tooth pinion and a LRP runner and for some silly reason the ITP is kicking in after abo9ut 2 mins.. would increasing the airflow help this. im thinking of cutting out some holes to alow air to come in the frount .. the major fix is going to be a heatsink fan straped to the ESC but thats a final resort..
Not sure if LRP Runner is suitable for 7-cell 20turn… when they do ratings it usually with 6-cells.
If you ask LRP they don’t really make any hard-n-fast motor recommendations, but instead they cryptically say if the temp protect cuts in your motor/car/battery combo is too ‘hot’.
Airflow definitely helps, that’s why 2WD buggies used to mount ESCs on the rear shock tower.
Fan will help but don’t bother cutting holes in body.
the lrp runs fine with that gearing and a 17t motor (as is the stock setup in the rc10t4 rtr) do u have the stock tires of a more monster tire, if not email direct to lrp and ask them the have great customer support
