Yeah they are good stuff, I have been using the 800 AAAs and the 2000 AAs. Using a delta peak charger they usually take more than their rating as well.

….as all good cells should. 10% above the label is normal.

I got those GP 750mah nimh’s and I’m happy with them as well… I dunno about the batt’s you mention here but the GP’s have air holes at the +VE end that seem to let “gas” escape if the batts overheat or are pumpe too hard with current…..

Those vents (whether you can see them or not) are what prevent all Ni-XX batts from leaking/ exploding during charging. But once they’ve vented, they’re stuffed.

How much do they need to “vent” before they’re buggered? I’ve heard very faint noises once or twice but that’s it. I haven’t noticed a decrease in performance either….

Dont forget, the readings on a peak charger aren’t that accurate, you must allow for heat etc and other inneficiencies.

I know initially I said two weeks, but that was information I was given at the store in the city at the time. Was at the Auburn store the weekend before last, and swears blind they’ll be in mid June.

Cool, thankz for reply anyway.
I’m GP fans but thoses batteries cost too much anyway like $3x for 4 750mah so i might try the Powertech 900mah to see if their better or not -
May 17, 2004 at 11:14 pm #51517
I think the powertech are more expensive like $3.35 each for 800mah.

May 17, 2004 at 11:50 pm #51519
but still 3.35×4 = $13.4!
and no shipping requires so overall is cheaper anyway -
