I’m sure I’ve seen a few people do this before but I’ll show you my progress through this little project I have. Started with an RX-7 shell, added pop-up headlights using the bluetack-white glue method…
took me forever to get the ‘perfect’ shape of teh headlights but here it is so far with the bluetack hardened due to teh glue on top.
the pic of a “before and after” thing…the headlights aren’t finished yet…just got the basic shape. Sanding to begin tomorrow and maybe a bodykit and definitely a new coat of paint (yellow?) and a carbon fibre hood…new spoiler…the list goes on and on…what do you think?

haha…this is the longest it has ever taken me to work on a body! So far, it’s painted but the painting isn’t finished yet.

Do you think I should smooth out this part or leave it as is?

hmm, i reckon leave it for 2 reasons,
if you do start filling and sanding you risk killing it and as you said, you’ve already spent too long on it to risk it.
if you see real pop up’s they dont have a smooth corner there, they look like yours do.
keep updating us, it’s lookin’good:smiley16::8ball:

wow! that’s great work there man! Don’t worry about smoothing it out, the lines are even and there’s no visible bumps so let it go as it is man! can’t wait to see the final product….
a big thumbs up here!

Nice work TM:shock:. Did you use a pen for the detailing around the lights? Have been using a toothpick ala betty and my bro’s suggestion, but thought about using a pen in the future?
