      This happens to me on most of my chassis and I m sure it happens to a lot of you guys as well.

      The plastic clip on the motor assembly that holds the heatsink in cracks very easily after changing motors several times. Even if you have the Bit-Racer tool (comes in the GM-xx bodysets) you still can have this happen to you.

      I ve found this fix a very handy one that works quite well.

      1) Remove the heatsink and motor.
      2) Drop a small amount of superglue on the cracked area, spread it around with a small piece of wire.
      3) Do this to the top, side and bottom of the plastic clip, spread evenly.
      4) Let this set for 30 minutes.
      5) Sand back lightly to even out the surface, use 400+ grit sandpaper if you can.
      6) Repeat 2 -> 6, 3 times. You can do more, I ve found 3 times is fine.

      All done! Use good quality superglue like Selly s Quicktite or something similar. Those crappy superglues that are $2 in those cheapo shops aren t worth the time….

      plastic cement is awesome for this job, as it welds the plastic together.

      Also a fine fuse wire wrapped around the plastic, just far out enough to miss the hole but not interfere with the mounting of the body shell, works well too.

      that’s an interesting suggestion micro, hmmm…

      I was thinking of how you would apply a wire reinforcing frame to the plastic one, hmmm….

      Yes, you need to be careful with those, they work ok but are too strong for the thin plastic that they clip through.
      If you bend them a bit before using them, they work ok.

      i just broke one myself. i used super glue to stick a couple of bits of paper clip wire to the underside. have a look;

      the super glue is enough as ph2t suggests, but i just wanted to be sure:8ball:
