Dunno how they do it, but that suggests pumping 8A
or more into the AAs… without them blowing up.

What the bloody hell??? I read about it….but am finding believing it tricky.

Does this new “In cell charger” mean our peak detection chargers wont work??? Dang!!!

I can charge my AAA’s in less than 15 minutes, just stick em in a freezer bag, dunk em in a cup of Icy water and key in ~4A on the charger…..I only do this when i am in an impatient mood, usually its a gentle 1.2A for 40 odd minutes.

Does it actually say they are 2000mAH? I couldnt find it.
      Seems odd, but interesting.
Must be some kind of pulse charger.
I’d be interested to find out more, not to mention a little sceptical.

Look closely at the pic of the cell… right under “..GEABLE”.

Its a AA NiMH anyway, most good brands do 2000 by now.

They’ve got AAAs too… but like you said, I haven’t
found out what their rating is. 850-900 would be nice.

Thought NiMH never liked pulse charging, only linear?

Me speculating its just batteries that have a built in temp sensor,
which the charger uses to regulate the current. If it warms up
too much it’ll wind the amps down.

Then if it winds the current down how does the bloody thing charge in 15 minutes???

Maybe if you stuck an icepack on it, or stuck the whole machine in the freezer (with the wire hanging out thru the door seal)… :smiley2:

I used to use icepacks to cool my cells, now i just put them in a glad bag and stick em in a cup of iced water…..you can charge the cells in 15 minutes and still retain most of their lifespan.
