Yeah – you can use any 27Mhz AM controller – just swap the xtals over 😉

Hmmm have you ever tried a pistol transmitter?? You might find after trying one for a while that you quite like it.

They seem to make driving the car a lot easier than using a stick transmitter.

      yeah pistol’s rule.

i just dont like the remote they switched to.

the remote in old mini z’s is a jr python the new remote in my mr-02 is like a ko propo ex-1 just alot cheeper but i do like how the batt’s are made into a “pack buy useing a 8aa holder that fits into the bottom” kinda like the jr xr-2 and xr-3

I often had problems with batteries in my mini z tx, they sometimes lost connection, the power was restored with a quick bash on the controller.

      wrongo… close but no cigar.

MR02’s TX is a rehash of the KO EX-9 from the late 1980s.

Yes, the original Readyset & mZ one is also seen as a JR Python or an Acoms Techniplus.

The new Readysets now have some HIDEOUS plasticky new TX (not the MR02 one)… 😯

      Whoops, correction again, sorry.

      It should have read “EX-7”.
(it was the basic no-frills version when the full-blown EX-5 came out in 1990)

I just received some new mZs… but they turned
out to be the original chassis with the ‘new’ TX.
Not the MR02 chassis I think.

Is the MR02 Chassis significantly better than the MR01??

Dunno if midmotor makes any real difference though, after all its still on unsprung weight.

The shock on top looks cool though.
(Hope its std, not a hopup.)

Am not planning on getting MR02… not unless
      there’s another F40 in the pipeline. 🙁
