I’ve been running the iWaver X-Speed motor in my firelap 4.0 for about and hour of runtime and the brushes are almost worn out, is it possible to replace the brushes in this motor.

Sadly the iWaver x-speeds are not the greatest motor when it comes to durability. It may be possible to install PN carbon bruses but really you may be better off buying a higher a grade stock FET performance motor.

What other performance motors are there that will run without a FET upgrade?

PN Speedy, PN Speedy NM, PN S05 all great motors. Most makers have a ‘stock’ motor it’s just a matter of finding them 🙂

or you could try the Tamiya Rev Tuned… just need to add your own wires… easy peasy…
