Now that our favourite Energizer silver/green NiMH AAAs are Mexican made in China and no longer rebranded Made-In-Japan Sanyos… :dead:

Been snooping around the shops and found SONY AAA NiMHs (silver/orange).

And these ARE still our fave Sanyo Japan cells!!

After I posted that, I went out and stocked up on Sony 800mAhs.

Right after I did that, me turned the corner and found… genuine Sanyo-branded 850mAh AAAs. blackeye:

Was too depressed to ask how much they were, looked like fresh new stock too.

If anyone’s looking for AAs, Sanyos have gone 2500mAh. Bought some last week.

HELL YEA. That’s great price. the Energizer 850s cost like $12 for 2. Anyone seen the 900mah Sony any where else?
petewah, have u checked it’s made in japan? from the price, it’s quite cheap.

those energizer 850’s are piss poor chinese merchandise…

      i have a few (4x aaa’s) and i was ripped off…

have a look at the current line up of photographic batteries… i purchased a nice set of japanese “kodak” batteries for the same price as the energizers (made in china) that are 750’s and punchy as hell compared to the 850mah chinese energizers…

      japanese forever baby!!!

Be careful buying rechargeable batteries in HK… I saw many “dubious” cells sold alongside cheap Guci bags, Rollex watches and Channel perfumes.

Hell, some “Sonny” AAs were even labelled 3000mAh!! 🙂

      nah, ‘fraid not.
Never flash valuables at a night market otherwise
      (1) you’ll look like a tourist = no bargains
      (2) someone will rob ya of your digicam
