I figure I’d share the news with the community as I have been with all of my friends.

On the 20th of April I will be leaving my current employer after 9 years and 3 days of service. See my job no longer exists and to be honest the last two years of poor management have just about driven me nuts.

So it’s time to make a break, got away from the stress and look at what I can do with myself elsewhere.

Unfortunately there’s not enough money in toy pimping and websites to pay the bills but I won’t be winding up anything to do with ausmicro.com. In fact it’s more than likley I’ll have more time to work on the site, and on some of those projects that need attention!

Anyways if you have any career suggestions I’ve got an open mind and an easy ear. Is now a good time for Kitty and Aaron to leave Canberra? Where would we go?

      There you have it 🙂

      Sorry to hear about that.

Hope it all works out for you and the mrs…

A guy that I use to work with studied the share/options market for 2 years and worked out how to properly trade with options. He told me that he would average 3-4k each month with about 4 hours work each month. He had a pager, laptop that was constantly monitoring the market though.

When he got made redundant, he was all smiles and looking forward to the extra payout.

last time i visited you in canberra i think you mentioned something about this… well, im sure youll be keen to move on and get on with the future freind!

as far as emplyment options goes, emma is on the lookout for reps but not for at least 3 months. depends on how much traveling youd be happy to do and if you could handle commision based payment rather than a weekly regulated salery. from the ACT you could easily covor southern NSW and victoria.

does this mean ausmicro will go down? shall we be on the lookout for more options as a community to help out more and to pull our weight a little better?

At this stage there’s no risk to ausmicro.

Yup – it’s been a rising cloud for a while, and as such I’m takign the best option out for me in the ersonal and fiscal sense.

I don’t know if i could get into the whole share trading thing but it certainly means that I will have more time/energy to devote to the site!

I hope this is a good move for you dude. 9 years should give you a healthy little lump sum to help tide things over until you get another job. IT administration work is always available, being a big boss manager that you are, lol, you should be able to find gainful employment. MY only advice is get that resume up to date and start pimping it on seek.com. (If that’s the path you wish to take of course……)

best of luck and fingers crossed!

i would look at this as an opportunity, it’s easy to get stuck in a rut.

seems like you need to break free for a while, i say go for it!

but not for too long, or you’ll end up a full of 😉 lazy arse like my last housemate:smiley11: :8ball:

Methink you should move to Melbourne [:)] and open
a 1:1 speedshop + cafe to tinker with with big toys.

How about an internet cafe in close proximity to where back packers usually stay. Do xbox 360 modchip installs on the side and run a z track/racing.

      That would be fun…

i thought canberra banned fireworks now? they just have more porn instead. Definately get out of canberra.. only live in canberra if you’re a politician or you work in a industry who’s target market is politicians. forced change is awesome.. makes u do things with your life that u’d never thought of and u’ll be better for it in the end. make the best of it..

      el 🙂
