my z was running real smooth untill it started to only slip out in one direction. one way to much traction, the other not enough…

the spur side of the axle seems to get more power than the other side. by spinning the wheels by hand i noticed the spur side is tighter compared to the other side, when i rotate it the spur side wheel goes in the opposite direction nice and smooth.

i took apart the diff to see if there was any crap in there and there was so i cleaned it out and re-assembled really carefully but the problem still persists!

any ideas guys? (apart from just buying a ball diff!)

Try loosening the diff. a bit, maybe you tightened it too much~

      Hope it helps~

i cleaned it all out real well, and tried loosining the wheels but still no effect…

i’ll have another go tho. is this what happens when the internal gears are stripped? if so its rooted isn’t it…

i’d say a lack of bearings is the prob. the bushing in the right wheel likes to hang on to the axle and the left wheel is attached to it:8ball:

without having bearings to test this would a bit of graphite or synth oil do for now? thanx guys.

if you’re gonna buy a new diff, make it a ball diff. and i’d use graphite to avoid collecting dust:8ball:
