i dunno if any one has talked about this before, but i use powdered graphite (available at hardware shops and maybe supermarkets) to lubricate my bit gears and external moving parts in my other rc’s like my tank.i mainly use it as it is a dry powder lubricant and therefore doesn’t attract dirt and dust like wet lubricants and works just as well. i still use grease, oil or vaseline for encased moving parts. i wouldn’t recomend it for wet weather though, as it washes out quickly and becomes black messy water. and most imortant of all, graphite is a conductor of electricity, so apply carefully and keep it away from pcb’s and other ‘electric’ parts. also, being a dry lubricant it doesn’t dampen the sound of the gears like wet lubes, so they are just as noisy as if there was no lube at all.
hope this helps some people out:8ball:
