      The thin wires on mine and several of my friends’ bit char’s have been frayed. Is there a possible way to fix this? I have tried to solder the two wires in the middle, but this is very difficult. Is there any other working way? Does anyone have an ideas or suggestions? Thank you.

      The wires have a coating of shellac, scrape it away and yah should be able to solder them together.

      How does copper wire ‘fray’?

      Probably cause I was holding the tweezers too tight :smiley9:

      just melt the coating off with a lighter
