Toy East 4.2 motors.

  I got my 4.2 motors in the post yesterday and I thought I’d post some quick results I got running them on the speed checker.
  On a fet modded single cell car with the 9.86 (orange) gears this is what I got…..
  Jap Perfection 3.8 (blue end cap)……..6.8Km/h
  Pro King 4.2 (blue end cap)…………..7.4Km/h
  King 4.2 (white end cap)……………..7.9Km/h
  So there is a reasonable step up in speed in the 4.2s These are just quick readings.
  The pro king 4.2s didnt show a whole lot of difference from the JP 3.8s, they even look the same, but the (white) King 4.2s scream.

  i just got the 4.2 motors in the post today have to admit the white cap 4.2 is quicker then my 3.8 percection on carpet.
  
  but the blue cap 4.2 runs very similar to my 3.8 perfection.
  
  they work well in booster cars aswell giving good torque off boost.
  so they are worth it if you want faster motors 😀

  I know thisis old thread but I can accross and had something to add.
  
  The blue 4.2’s are made for 2 speed cars so you should/will notice a difference when in a booster car.
  
  Now I am not sure about the white capped one as when I got mine I recieved the blue cap and a purple/blue cap.
  
  the one with the purpleish cap is the fastest motor I have ran to date.

  Its fast thats all you need to know. Considering you will prolly put it in the car teat micro amp did the mosfet mod 2 then it will be really fast.
  
  **HINT** if you are not using a booster car then dont use the blue belled motor use the other one.

  csaue u can have a slow motor so that u can take the turns but chuck on the booster for ne stragit bits

  hey uA what u reckon the 2 speed im geting done will do with the King 4.2 and dual 200mah bats? i might put on some fast gears as well… woudl i break 15kph..? thats my goal

  lol i chucked ona dual motor it worked alright (i did it in 10 mins with some blutak just to c what would happen)…. i dunno 200mah r powerful batts n with boster on…? hmm i dunno

  k ive set up a chassis now when i get this new mosfet boster ill have dual 4.2s dual 200mah.. n i might invest in some fast gears … what u rekon this will do… ill show it off at the show…

  MB, if you can get your hands on some KIT racer gears, a stage 2 fet modded dual cell will easily break 15kmh. Mine has been up to just over 20.
  With the slowest kit racer gears the car runs nicely at 15kmh, has good acceleration and still corners nicely on slow speed. You will also probably need 2 steering springs to keep control at high speed, but with fet steering and dual cell voltage it will be able to handle it easily.

  Yea teh booster cars with 4.2 and fets are very fast. I got mine in not to long ago from Micro Amps and this thing moves.

  man think about it, two batts+ one motor=double power, two batts+two motors=more weight,more drag=less speed……

  i dunno.. 2 motors mean they have to do less work and can go faster and the mosfets and batts mean that power wont b a issue

  I’ve just orderred 2 x 4.2 motors. I’m wonderring if the cars will even be stearable, or if it’ll just be as stupid as keeping your foot flat to the floor in a skid pan.

  kit racers are bits that only go in a straight line or along a rail, they have the guide wheels at the front.

  It is connecting another motor onto the back of your bit and that should produce double the power at the rear wheels.
  Im not sure how to do it with blu-tack tho :question:

  I suppose the only way to get them is with the KITT racer sets that sell at places like K-mart or Toys R us. I dont know where you are from, but try the big deparment stores. The different KITT racers ahve the different gears and motors in them, and oe or two of the other parts can be used on the BCGs as well.

  Yeah. The only way to get KITT gear sets is with the Racer sets. And i find out that Kmarts don’t sell them anymore. And So is Toys R Us.

  Its all in Japanese, but Babelfish sorts out most of it.
