Hi all: trying to fine a supplier for TX2C AND RX2C ICs.These integrated chips are use in R/C remote toy cars. like nikko.radio shack.bright lite ect ect. Also looking for a complete datasheet on these ICs. Does anybody know a supplier. And a website for the datasheets… (Second Question): can anybody tell me on the TX2C chip in the transmitter radio controller. On pin 12-osc and pin 11-osco is how the resistor is set and determine for the internal oscillator in side this chip.IT MIGHT BE. A 200k ohm resistor and why is it if it is 200k. why not higher or low resistor can anybody explain this so i could understand better.the CIRCUIT can be seen at http://www.elenco.com/manuals/rcc-7k.pdf. ANY HELP WOULD BE VERY APPRECITED. JJ… 🙂

The OSC pins are merely for timing.
Here are the data sheets for HLECs version.

Realtek used to make the bulk of them, but there are several clone sets including the SM61xx series that have variable OSC inputs, here

Also the HES30xx are the same.

Hi Again: Thanks for this info. But can you elaborate more on this timing function. Is this the timing, for the pulses of the single data to control the car. like used in a 555 timer circuit. If not. Can you explain this so i could understand this function better on this chip.Better yet. Give me an :example! Also by using Ohms-law how do you determine the resistor for the OSC PINS. PLEASE EXPLAIN! PS I could not open or get these last three datasheets on these websites some chineese message tops up; Thank you once again.

It requires you do download a small Chinese font file, once you’ve done that it displays the PDF just fine. The PDF is in English, it’s only their business name that is also shown in Chinese characters.

I’m curious about that clock, too.

I was looking at a different remote control IC that explained things more fully, and the gist of the timing resistors was this: The timing resistor on the transmitter chip controls how fast the serial signals are sent. The timing resistor on the receiver controls the clock of the decoder; it does run in sync with the transmitter, rather it is the clock of a decoding CPU inside.

I know I’m not explaining that well.

I have some used RC cars I’ve bought just to take apart and hack into some RC airplanes, I’ll be putting them on an O’scope and will get a better idea of the signals.

That’s the same one. It still asks you to download the Chinese fonts if you haven’t already.

Does anyone know of a supplier for these chips, RX2 and TX2 or any of their many clones?
