      Hey all,

Just wondering if I am the only person that has had problems using a peak charger to charge a Bit Char-G??

My charger senses that the Rx circuitry is continually drawing current from the cell, therefore the charger decides this is an unusual characteristic for a cell, and rejects the cell.

Only by disconnecting the cell can I charge it, and believe me, using a proper peak charger is great, 30+ mins runtime from a standard TOMY NiCd cell!

i got the intell peek pulse charger and i dont have any probs on it. i just set it on the lowest charge rate and let it charge. it might just be that type of charger.

ummm check the specs on the charger and post them. your charger might not be able to charge single cells.

Yeah it does charge single cells, i just hafta take the battery out of my bit char to charge it.

      My charger has:

      -1-32 cell charging capacity.

      -100mAh-8000mAh charging current.

-RS 232 Serial port (connect to PC and view charge curves/graphs and cell information)

It charges NiCad, NiMH, Li-ion, Lit-Tadiran, PB leadbatt, and has Discharge, soft charger, multi-delta peak modes, basic charger, reflex charger, cell regeneration/reformat mode and more.

damn nice charger how much that set ya back like $300.

might just be the bits pcb interfearing with the cpu in the charger

It was $600AUD so about $400ish in US dollars.

Yeah it is the PCB, cause it makes the charger think that the battery is faulty, because batteries don’t normally ‘self discharge’ while charging.
