Vintage Enduro @ Knox Offroad this SUNDAY 30th NOV ’08

hiya fellas

for the last day of spring 2008 we’ll be running a 4hr Enduro at Knox Carrington Park offroad electric track

we’ll be using Vintage (pre 1991) buggies 🙂

yeah i’m sure there’ll be a few cameras floating around 🙂

we even had an onboard cam last yr… haha i was it… on an Egress 😀

but this yr someone’s actually signed me up on a raceteam so dunno
if i’ll have any time to take good pics or mount a cam on my racecar

one of the racers writes for RC CAR mag so there might be an article there

there’s even talk of film crew turning up, we’ll see!

from what I remember, the Egress was Tamiya’s top electric buggy at the time? All expensive bits. Don’t think I’d be game to race one!

I nearly bought a Vanquish back in the day..

ya i wasn’t racing last yr

had bolted the camera to DF03 for camcar but just before the race start
the motor decided to throw a wind and jammed up everything

The Egress had come along for the ride just for show-n-tell ‘cos i’m told
its got some racing pedigree… got run in some Oz Nationals back when.
But it ran great thru about 3 packs worth over the 2hrs!

They are a PITA to work on!
It still hasn’t been touched since last yr, just got bunged back in its box.
