Personally my favourite motor is The genuine tomy Micro B 3.0. Why?? Because i think it is the only motor with character, yes it is slow off the line but it has a logarithmic power curve, and i think it is great for track racing, because it is smoothe accelerating, with not too much torque, and has reasonable speed.

For non track work i would say the perfection series is the best, these have serious torque and power.

I like all the Perfection motors, They’re very torquey, fast & smuth. I also like all the ExtremeMicro motors. Very good torque & crazy speed!

i like the 2.2 motor. why? well it has enough power to go around a track plus you can control them and when it has a dual battery or fet mod on them them fly.

but for fun and cool speeds a 4.2 motor is nice.

I’ve only driven with a 1.0, 2.2, and 2.6, it would probably be the 2.6 that I think is that best out of them.

      You should try some others, I have driven 1.0, 1.6, 2.2 (who hasn’t?!), 2.6, 3.0, Perfection 3.8.

happiest with the genuine Tomy 3.0, myself… coupled with high speed gearing. Depends on what im using the cars for though… 3.8 is great where no track is involved.

The thing i like about the 3.0, is that it is very much like a high performance car engine, it has nothing down low, not alot in the mid and all hell breaks loose when the revs are up.

I think it is the easiest to drift, because when it drifts the revs go down and it the power drops off, stopping it from spinning out.

I have had my 3.0 for 1 year and it still runs great.

i like the clone ones myself, i like them because when u buy a clone, u dont know what your gonna get. It might not even run! it could run but be slow, or it could be awesome, and i have some awesome ones, i like the element of surprise!:D

i must agree with surfmystrat on that one! suprize packages are always sweet!

i personaly dont mind the pink end 3.8’s as it’s easy to tone them down with the tomy high end gear set, and using a tapping method on the acceleration you can get the best control out of them.
wouldnt mind getting one of those 3.0’s they sound nice.
