I need sum help on this one.
I recently bought an NSXr from the new compact char g series. The motor in it is faster than my first series skyline. The motor is Also faster than a 2.6 that i got with a KIT racer. Does this mean it is a 3.0? It is a real tomy, not a clone but i dont know what motor it is?
help would be good!

As I said in my post on the Compact Char-g discusion, it comes with a 2.2 as standard. I bought one as well and that’s the motor it came with.It was the original standard motor for the early Bit’s in Japan, until they changed it to 1.0s. As VR-4 said sometimes they run differently despite what they are bought as.

I had a 2.2 that ran slower than a 1.0. I returned it, and got a 2.2 that went as expected. There’s a certain range of acceptable error in the QA stage of their manufacture.
Prowler, your 2.6 might not be up to scratch, and the 2.2 might perform above it’s specifications.

Its yellow and is faster than an orange 2.6. Strange indeed!

Thats strange, cuz my first skyline, the motor was yellow and the contacts on the end loooked wider, it is slow as, 1.0!

Yeah, one of my old yellow motors was as slow as a 1.0.
Take it to Kmart or other Aussie seller of Compact Char-Gs and ask for a replacement. As a Tomy representative, and sellers of cars with the 2.2 motors, I’m pretty sure that consumer affairs will back you up they they should replace it (if it’s pretty new).

do 2.2 draw less current than a 2.6?? cuz if so my 2.2 is fast and has longer run times!

I believe the faster the motor, the shorter the run time.

yeah but it both cars the 2.2 (my faster motor) beats my 2.6 in speed and run times!!!!!!

well thats a bonus then, you either have a dodgy 2.6 or a great 2.2
