ok, by now a fair few monsters would have been built. and thanks to betty.k our bits can now take that giant step outside the house and into the dirt!

i thought it would be good to get pics of all the ausmicro monsters in one thread to further ausmicro monster spirit!

heres mine without the shell(its being completed tonight).

I love your s2000 monster bit betty.k, it has impreza wheels right?

ph2t, do I see dual heat sink in your quad cell monster? what motor do you use? a 4.3? How does it resist to such power? lol

I warn you that I would do lots of questions 😀

Hey HFi, the heat sink is more like a triple heatsink, three soldered together! 😀

I use a perfection 3.8 motor, that’s the fastest motor around basically. The motor gets VERY hot! That’s why I put the extra heatsinks……

My lambo bit is also back in the garage.
I couldnt force myself ruining the diablo even more, so a black countach pullback it now is.
The H-bar is retired until i find some stronger plastic.

The 2 batts is in the mail, right now and the chassis is ready for some internal dual-cell.

      🙂

nice one all and thanks barto!

my camera just run out of power so pics of my beast with shell attached will have to wait…

but you can see the shell in the flame on! thread. its had a few things added to it to make it suit tho. and the paint needs abit of touching up but as soon as these batts are ready youll get to witness the scorcher Bb.

Thanxs to ph2t and betty.k for the replies :smiley2:

I though that the 4.3 was the fastest… I belive the motor gets hot as hell with such voltage lol

When I saw those golden wheels they remembered me Impreza wheels:)

      proto.jpg

Not really a Bit since the only bit part was a servo driven steering system. Full propo, lots of articulation, Epoch motor that could go all day long. About as fast as an X-Speed Mini-Z
      😯

I needed some parts for another project so I stripped this one, but I may re-build it having seen various videos 😀

it’s interesting to see the humble lego wheel so strongly represented, obviously something most of us have:8ball:

the lego wheels are great, i remember the old ones but i gave up all my lego collection to my cousins.

i had to go buy a new “lego racer” for these and they are more sticky than the old ones (in memory).
this the type of set i got my wheels from:

check out this new style lego tyre:

and lego has come up with a bit racer style chassis:http://www.lego.com/eng/racers/motors.asp?x=x&motor=rechargeable
