David Jun was crowned the XMODS Racing League National Champ in Atlanta on Sept. 19, 2004. He competed against many other regional winners to win a super-modified 2004 Acura NSX valued at over $120,000.

i reckon this whole deal sucks. the “stop drop and race” tour was supposedly for amatuers. then rat shack decides to rope in a few ringers, meaning the average driver had absolutely no chance of even smelling the podium. kind of a big kick in the face to their loyal customers in my opinion:8ball:

Someone loaned me one once. 🙂

What can I say? … Its quick for sure, once you get that
VTEC into the sweet zone and keep it up there. On a backroad
overtook someone and it went from 125 to 180 by the time
      it took to pass him.

Trouble is, engine is right behind your headrest and buzzy.
That can get real tiring for long stretches.

Exciting? hmmm… imho as exciting as a bigger faster Prelude. :p
Love the shape though, still can’t believe its 15 yrs old!

      Define “lucky”. 👿

US has some wierd tax laws. Winning a prize/freebie like that
makes you liable for tax on your winnings… and Dave’s up for
something like $50,000. Big wad of cash to pay for something
that might not be of much use to you in the long run.

Just because someone’s spent “$120,000” on it don’t mean its
likely you’ll be able to sell it for anywhere that much.

btw David Jun is a TRF Tamiya factory driver.

He’s gotten a Tamiya RC kit named after him (TA03-PRO JUN Edition)
and he’s the main man behind the TLT-1 little monster truck.

      Now THAT is lucky. :D:):D

man thats one creative way to improve a NSX!.

i can the reasoning behind it.

      its a fast car already
      one of a kind
      labour of love
      reliable ferrari!

man now thats a talent, wish they could turn my focus to a ferrari aswell!

Well, since the year dot preludes have been front mounted engine cars..

Personally The NSX and S2000 don’t impress me much, for the price tag it’s probably better to look elsewhere. Theyir performance doesn’t match the price either…

If i won an NSX, i’d get rid of it quick!

Those aluminium bodies are VERY easily damaged, and very few bodyworks shops will toush aluminium bodied cars.

Insurance would be a complete whore.

i think it’s all a scam if a factory driver wins:dead: what’s the point of common people participating when near professionals are competing. kinda takes the fun out it knowing your racing with someone like that. half the fun of a race is knowing you have a chance:smiley2:

oh, forgot to mention… the kyosho mini-z cup race series has been canceled for 2005 in the u.s.
