Here’s some action shots from the video that’s comming very soon!
My blue ford was running with green motor, red gears. Betty’s ZZ Jeep conversion was running yellow motor, yellow gears….

it’s more a speed thing. ph2t’s would be able to get some nice air with the fast gears and motor:8ball:

What kinda range are you guys getting outside? Have time to play with mine tomorrow again:D Have only had them inside so far (weather hasn’t been great as it is winter here). Have the ford and the chevy(Hulk) as well as the performance booster upgrade kit:p. imo, these are the best ZZ’s made to date.

i got the tyre and wheel upgrade kit as well. the tyres are really nice, semi pneumatic and really grippy. you get 3 sets of rims (chrome, aluminium and black look) and 3 sets of tyres (semi slick, all terrain and mud):8ball:

Betty, is the tire upgrade worth it? I just went with the motor and gear upgrade instead. With the orange motor and gears these puppies fly:)

they’re not essential and i doubt there’s a performance boost but you just gotta get them!:D they do feel a little softer than the stock tractor treads though.
range is no better or worse than my other micros, about 10m or so.i’m really enjoying mine as a rock crawler at the mo, orange (fastest) motor and green (lowest) gears. and if you put a 6t pinion on it it’ll mow the lawn!:smiley2::p:8ball:

November 22, 2004 at 11:00 pm #24757
Will have to switch the pinion:) Thanks for the tip.
-
November 23, 2004 at 12:28 am #24755
so the pinon will give more torque will it?
im not really interested in out and out speed with these things i like the “rock crawling” feature.
i find the red gears and motor are a good combo for that, its fastish without causing flipping, just wheelies and it climbs stuff well.
have to look for a 6t pinon me thinks.

i just used a regular bit pinion, just gotta make the hole a tiny bit larger. the mesh isn’t perfect but it works.:8ball:
