      Did it last night following QFM’s instructions. I had to use a sheet metal nibbler to remove some of the mounting bracket in order for the holes to align properly. I get a range of around 30 feet!

      I’ll take more pictures of the install when I get my extra charge capacitor.

      -45mhz Booster Car
      -Redsun RX-7 body from the Initial-D set
      -12:1 gearing
      -motor from a clone (3.0?)
      -22 gauge solid copper antenna
      -NdFeB steering magnet
      -hard bitracer front tires

      good work. looks like u have a telescopic one on your car but i see its 22 gauge copper. i havnt thought about doing the telescopic to my 4 badn but it looks pretty cool cos i only get about 25 ft with it:shock:, where with some of my other bits i was getting up to almost double that:D

      yeh where did you get the antenna on your car ??

      i thought that was it cos i read ur sig LOL, that still seems quite thick looking aerial, at least your car wont flip over as much

      how much did it cost ? And do you think it made much of a difference to your range compared to the stocko aerial ??

      couple bucks for a huge roll. I think it definitely helped with reception. Its really not that thick. The weight of it doesn’t affect performance much. Still runs great.
