Not that I have the skills to pull this off, but someone should make and mass produce a PCB cover that has a driver and seats on it, so when you look through the car it looks like there’s someone in it. A driver in a racing helmet would mean less detail would be needed. Made in greay so people can paint their own maybe?
This would help the open roof convertible mods some people have done look more realistic when the body is on the chasis.
If someone starts selling these, I want 10% comission on sale price. =o)

Obviously Shypos would have to have backward baseball hats, or broad rim hats with a feather, and a pink leisure suit, and perhaps some slinky blonde in a low cut top on the passenger side.

Very clever. I wonder if it would be possibke to make a mould of the people on the PCB cover and make more of them. That’d be cool. I’m sure they’d sell too.

i found a sweet little tiger perrfect bcg scale..
i’ll have a go dave… i have tried interior detail before but it’s no good. that pcb needed too much room. thanx for the idea, i dont know about mass producing them. -

Did she, I can’t believe how short sighted she was. How dare she sell that.
Oh, BTW, What’s an Autoclave?

it’s like a vacuum that is used to streth hot plastic sheets over hard molds. she used it to make inersoles for feet problems, podiatry. i made some masks with it once…
IOW the exact peice of equipment needed for vacuum forming plastic molds.

Just wonder if u put a seat or a person on the PCB. will it be too high for the shell?
Or if it’s a convertible, interior too high will make it look unrealistic will it?
Or u guys have any idea how to lower the PCB?
I want to do this Mod a long time ago. I got the parts from a broken Hot Wheels. But I don’t know how to make it look realistic on the Bit. THere is not enough room for the seats.Let’s do 1/4 Mile under 8 Seconds!!!

just chop off the bottom of the seats or person…

To get a little bit more depth, you could try getting rid of the plastic pcb cover all together, this should give you another 3 to 4 mm extra depth, just be carefull of the exposed pcb or make a thin plastic protecter and paint it… paint them to look like floor mats maybe? :-)or a central console
Also a cool mod i found you can do with enamel paints so to do head lights. where you pain head light in and after the have dried , go over them with clear enamel, pain another coat after that coat dries, repate untill you get a cool glossy glass looking headlights/tail lights. I did this to my s2000 convertable and I will be trying to repate this process to get it to work on side indecaters.

I think if you have the inners from the Matchbox or HotWheels car, and you cut them down so that you perhaps ended up with 2 seat backs and headrests it would then look normal again when looking in from the side windows. Paint the PCB cover to match the new interior. Just throwing around ideas.
I wonder if a pin head could be painted to look like a race helmet?

that would be a really cool idea. I had a fullsize r/c car that had a driver and co-pilot.
I bet it would look better in a bit char-g. -

if you paint the inside of the indicators it looks hell glossy…. then you dont have to wait so long to apply more paint

did it and there is no rooom!!!!!
sux sux sux. 2 hours of cutting for nuttin’.
ther is no room even with the pcb gone for interior detail XCEPT for a 4×4 like a Bb.
and then it would still look weird. if a human head were to be deformed to the same way a bcg car is it would resemble a hamburger more than a pinhead.
this is a amazing concept but at the moment the pcb and batt width limit the realistic room for internal detail.
if the pcb cover i made did look good i was thinking of getting it cast up in aluminum, the idea being like a heat sink.

but on the downside it would add more weight if it was aluminium….

yeah the weight would suck but at least it would be cenralised.
only a real option if you had 2xcells
cos 2xcells=more power=no wories.momentum would go up. the problem with bits is momentum.
