Please post ideas and discussion here. Keep it sane and reasonable 😉
This poll is here to help us decide if it’s worthwhile working on some merchanise. Essentially most of it would be based around the current logo with other design touches to suit!

MERCHANDISE ~ ABOUT TIME!!!!!!!
T-shirts and Caps are a must have!!!!!
Mugs and Stickers, yep OK
Mousemat…. everyone has their fave mousemats, so it would have to be cheap. Maybe get Trading direct to sponsor it and for every order above a certain value, they can give one away free.
ausmicro.com and tradingdirect.com proudly present mousemat with tiny racetrack on it for BitCharG’s.
Stickers for the cars would be most cool too, as well as sticker for 1:1 scale car??????
Maybe even a couple of limited edition jackets with embroidery on back?
I had some polo shirts made for a drinking club we had…… not that I drink a lot… I mean… oh damn…..
More than willing to help with designs and chip in on something like this.

AusMicro decals for Mini-Z and Char-G sized cars.
So we can make the cars look like we’re sponsored.Advertising signs for Tracks, like a billboard or something.
The AusMicro Datsun 180B body. Oh, you said sane, sorry. How about an AusMicro car body (with logos/decals), but which body style. it’s need to be something not already in the ranges. How about a Sandman or FJ body?
If you need help with graphics, just let me know and I’ll see if I can be of assistance.

I just mentioned classic Aussie cars because it’s an Aussie site. *sob*
OK, so what are the F1, Bathurst, or the supercars races using as pace cars at the moment? I agree it’s have to be something very cool, somthing not as common as a WRX or whatever. Something a bit more hard to come by.

Anyone remember that jet truck called waltzing matilda from MANY years ago…off the point i know…anyway the ausmicro symbol / logo rocks so set it up boys…front logo and back says…”we come from a land down under…” (think Men at Work version…) lol…even as an ex kiwi id be proud to have an aussie shirt…i did my time on the gold coast…had a ball…

Well on the shirt idea (this is only my rough thinking nothing more) here’s what I envisage…
* Basic Shirt: White T-shirt with small version of the website logo on the front ‘pocket’ area. Back of shirt to bear simple artwork and logo.
* Flash Shirt: Probably a good quality item with stiched logo artwork on front. Polo style in cotton or that new fangled cool-tex stuff so it don’t need ironing 😉
* “Special”: Something unique that will hopefully be “collectable” either becuase of the artwork or the design and limited production.
I should add that becuase of the high upfront costs etc we’d probably do one thing at a time 🙂

personally im not a big fan of pocket prints…the middle of the chest has much more OOMPH to it…all the shirts i have designed go for middle chest placement…15-290 cm would be a good size for the tee i reckon…just take these comments as fluff because obviously im not designing it…as a buddying designer…but as aaron says…you get your screens set up first of all and then its all pretty easy…get your embroidery put on disc and the world is your green lipped oyster…Im looking forward to the results of this…what sort of timing are we looking at ? tomorrow? next month ? 2004?

We had our team shirts done up in Newcastle.
They were/are polo shirts with a flash version of Iron on stuff, and embroidery on front pocket.A nic is a good idea but will push the individual prices up, especially as the embroidery will be charged by the letter. And I have a long nic!!!!!
I say go straight to the flash shirt……..
collectable as a maybe. Can I get a lycra girly shirt or what??????

i was thinking that too but the logistics made it tricky i thought…how about a run of 500 (just a number…) with XXX/500 printed on them…that fixes your custom design problems…printrs usually charge through the nose for that cause they have to change every number…as tee shirt design is one of my great loves this is great…bits AND tees together…or we could just flag the whole money making side of it, be nice and open about our cyber liberties, ausmicro posts up a decent big version of their logo and we all just print it onto heat transfers and we make tees ourselves…on condition that we take a picture of ourselves wherever we are on the planet for display in the tee shirt gallery…damn im good at this…lol…

*laughs* I like it.
Well Bithead has hit upon part of the ‘problem’ we actually don’t have the logo in a form that’s suitable for use for any of the designs yet. As those in the know will notice the one we used in antialiased etc for pretty web presentation and so on.
In timeframe terms we’re probably talking months to go from now to putting the shirt on peopels backs. Well indeed any merchandise together. BUT in the interim period there will be plenty of discussion, brainstorming and info gathering. For example KittyKatSmack has done a similar thing before therefore I’ll be picking her brains about how to make sure the venture doesn’t send me broke, if someones a t-shirt designer (or indeed a grahpic artist of some kind) I’d like to think they’ll help us a bit as well.
Keep the ideas coming 🙂
But What about mugs? Basic white mug witht he logo? Perfect to hold coffee or and a corner marker for races in an office evironment? Have about rulers that double as track ripple strips??

The shirts should NOT take months……………
But just in case, set yourself up for Easter.
We want all forum members wearing a shirt for the Easter break!!!If ya want, I can start looking into it…….
What is wrong with the logo at the top of this page? The one for the website.
Is simple and will be fairly easy. What are alternatives? Do we want alternatives?
Current website logo is distinctive enough that those of us in the ‘in crowd’ will know what it is.Forget the individualisation!
Keep prices reasonable. If you really want to personalise it, do it locally!
As for other items, we could create a package/showbag type of thing.
When is the Royal Easter Show????

February 5, 2003 at 5:07 pm #41678
Wow, so many suggestions these days.
The major factor in it all is cost though.
Unfortunately the initial cost is quite high. If we want to make everything affordable we need to order in bulk. Who is going to come up with the money up front??? I think everyone needs to think long and hard about how much they are actually willing to spend, and on each item.
Say $15 for a mug, $40 for a shirt, $20 for a hat.
A lot of the embroidery stuff has a set up cost also that is a couple of hundred dollars. Who is going to pay that? And if we get shirts at $40 but only if we order 15 or more, who is going to pay $600 in the hopes that everyone else out there is going to actually put money where mouth is?????And don’t forget postage costs too!!!!
C’mon fella’s, lets put our feet back on the ground and start small. One or two items, then as the demand grows, then the range can grow.
I think that was the point of the poll.
Most people are happy to buy a shirt, maybe a mug and definately some stickers.OK, work with that. Certainly keep suggestions coming in, but keep in mind what is future and what is current as far as the merchandise is concerned.

I think as Kitty said, cost being a factor, and porbably a big one, the cheapest 1st step would be the stickers. DGS works at a sticker place, so there might even be a mates rates deal happening. I and others have offerred to do the graphic work. They’re also easy to post.
a bumper sticker with “My other car is 1/64 this size”, and the logo under it. hahahaaa.
Tshirts and other items if all goes well in he sticker front.
I still like the decal idea, and they (A&D) could print those at home on a bubblejet once they buy the decal paper. Only outlay would be the paper and some ink, and postage is no more than a standard letter. Surely you would get ove a hundred to a page at BCG or even MiniZ scale, and the current logo gif or jpg could be used (scale down the print size by increasing the dpi of the image).

LOVE THE BUMPER STICKER DaveF!!!!!!
Brilliant.
The decal sheet could be done at home, but a professional job on proper decal stuff may well be the go. As for the offers by everyone to do the logo’s….. get cracking, or do I have to get my whip out again????
:smiley2::evil:And a T Shirt is a must have!!!!
Sorry fella’s but me being a girl an all….
CLOTHES!!!!!So first run of shirts will have to be special, something for Ausmicro’s first birthday????
That way, the set up cost for the screenprinting and embroidery can be incorporated into the exclusivity of the shirts.I have an image of chequered flags and a 1st to commermorate the 1st year of Ausmicro, and maybe a year included? Set up a limited run to say 50 shirts, and first in best dressed. Literally!!!

My guess is that he’s earning it thru the number of downloads his video is gettin…
I think that 1:1 bumper stickers would be good and the decals for bcg’s the way to go.

Maybe you should read some of the earlier posts instead of jumping in half arsed…….We are getting there and I’m sure that Aaron and Derek have noted what the preferances are for and who are doing the suggestions.
How about we move on to what kind of T Shirt you would like and what ideas for the back of the shirt and general design.

Daves bumper sticker rocks…Ill translate the Japanese version…Do up something good on the shirts and Ill wear it at my next TOMY meeting…if they ever call me back the ‘bottoms’…tee shirts and stickers…thats the way to go…and as Kitty says..lets move on…Personally i dig the site logo…red / white and blue with the red car…its simple…eyecatching and gets the job done…I think it would be shame to change it just for a shirt…particularly the first…I mean even shaun stussy uses his original logo, changing it slightly for different runs over the years…Lots of colours in the ausmicro one though…go monotone ? Just running ideas here…blue shirt with black print? in fact thinking about it…the car in the logo would become quite troublesome in printing…all the colours…umm…im done…
-

LOL
That’s exactly what we need Bithed.
What you would like etc.
Don’t know if the car in the logo would be too hard once you get it ‘set up’ with the manufacturer. How about making the car look a bit more generic and that reduces the detailing required. I really like the logo as is.As for the other designs, this is where we can play with the back of the shirt. Put logo over front pocket right? Maybe put a year on the sleeve with the first birthday info (checkered flags etc) but what do we want on the back?
Something a bit schmick for the first birthday and first anniversary of Ausmicro!!!Ideas?????
*maybe with every T Shirt and decal set purchased we could arrange a bumper sticker for nix or half cost???? Just an idea*

I think changing the logo would be a shame, and to that end it’d have to be on a white Tshirt. i think centre of chest, maybe nothing on the back. Oh, I know, I know. Pit crew, or Driver, or Grand Prix Access all areas or something. In all caps, nice and bold.
I suppose Trading Direct might even claim a sleve logo mention as a sponsor??

*hopes she isnt jumping the gun here*
Let’s make is something special hey????
T Shirt/Polo Shirt with a basic colour….. Yellow would look good, green even…. not black and not white, preferably not red, those colours detract from the logo!
A different kind of blue perhaps? grey could work too.
Logo should be embroidery, not just a screen print!

The race reference was just because not all of us use our RC cars to drive to the shop to get micro bread, or to drive the lego kids to school. I’m not a huge fan of motor racing either.
Screen print T’s would be cheaper than emboiderred T’s by a considerable amount. They’ll be collectors items either way.
I think the logo as it appears on the top of this page would have to be the logo used. Product recognition and all that. Perhaps Trading Direct would want a sleve logo because of their sponsorship too.

They (or one of them) did say that they needed the comments from the AusMicro community to help them make a decision, and also wanted ideas, and also wanted comment on those ideas, and also wanted people who could help see those ideas to fruition. No good someone sending in a great idea if A&D can’t easily find people to make the item, or having a pocket protector maker in the forums if no one wants pocket protectors.
I think A&D are waiting for the dust to settle on a single, or small number of items that are popular amongst the community (higher chance for sales), is cheap to produce (mates rates from an AusMicro member) and cheap to mail out.
The more ideas thrown into the pot, the more options A&D have to select from. And if members seem more set on one idea than another, that will also help them make their selection.

I think it’s time we started on the design ideas because that will bring the thoughts closer to reality.
Certainly I think merchandising has an enormous potential, and with the number of ausmicro members growing all the time, the market is huge!!!
Am sure TradingDirect would want to tap into that market anyway……..
Let’s keep it real though, and put it all together. The less actual work that Aaron and Derek have to do, the more time they can spend on their real life stuff…..
I know, I know, it was a shock to me too, to realise that people want to do stuff in the real world….

Back on track… AusMicro minature figurines? Scaled down figurines of drivers or pit crew or just people with the AusMicro logo on them, Team AusMicro or something.
A cary case for 1 car and controller that looks like a garage, perhaps pit lane looking, with the AusMicro logo on it in several places. Cary cases can clip together so you can buy 6 of them to carry all 6 of your cars in 1 hand (needs a handle), by snapping your AusMicro garages together.
AusMicro.com PC badge to stick on your PC? Although I think the best first merchandise product would be something that the purchasers of will display in public. Increase the profile of the site. To that end, Stickers and Tshirts would be th way to go.

Have you submited your videos to any other fan site (I haven’t).
Another Idea for a product, maybe a booklet on how to hold a bit char-g grand prix.
-How to setup points tables
-when you have 20 people and only 4 frequencies, how to get everyone a chance to race everyone else.
-trophy ideas
-track designs
-ways to produce race tracks with just stuff lying about the house (eg table, bowls, plates, trays…
-race types (100 laps, 5 laps, most # of laps on one charge)
-mods for racing and suggested enhancements (ie tyres, engines, springs)… All in a little booklet with the ausmicro symbol plastered all over it.

Well, we all seem to be saying ‘use the logo at the top of the page’, so there’s a start, that seems to be decided.
Now most of the rest of the talk seems to be on Stickers, decals, or Tshirts.
Thshirts – has been much discussion (Screen print or embroider, where the logo goes, what for the front, what for the back, etc.), but no decision seems finalised. I think if A&D see some quotes for these different options, and they can decide. Kitty, did you say that was your field of expertice, or knowledge? Are you able to give A&D quotes? I suppose for 100 Ts is a good starting place to get an idea of prices.
Stickers – Not much to discuss really, unless we want more on the sticker than just the logo. dgs should perhaps try and throw together a quote. Lets say for 100, 200, and 500 stickers, 1/6 A4 size, or the nearest size that’s cheapest to produce.
Decals – Aaron andor Derek (A&D) could simply purchase some blank decal sheets (few dollars a sheet) from a hobby shop, print them on their colour bubblejet, and cut them out. Upping the pixel resolution on the existing web logo will shrink it’s actual print size, so it’s just a matter of trial and error to find the right dpi for Mz and BCG scaled decals. If you guys want (A&D) I’ll have a play and get a rough idea of what res is best for BCGs (I don’t have a Mz)
That’s a wrap up of the more popular ideas in this discussion so far, and just my suggestions how this could start to come into fruition. A&D will need to see prices before they will make a decision, so that seems to be the next step to take.
Does that sound reasonable to you Aaron or Derek?

Kitty is back…. temporarily!
Yes, I have had experience in T Shirts and the like previously. As for where they are sold… I am happy to do it for the first couple of times or so…..
Keep prices low so that we don’t have to include a cut for merchandising or promotion companies.
I can go to wholesalers etc.*keep the tiger balm shypo, kitty doesn’t want to fly!*
I can start on some quotes if A&D give me the go ahead.
Recommend shirt with front chest embroidered logo and a screen print pic on back.
Screen print pic (and here I need someone with artistic flair to put together my imaginings) A track with BCG’s or MiniZ’s on it, Big checkered flag, taking up most of shirt, and in the middle “Winner Year 1 2003” or something similar…… can anyone picture what I am trying to get at?????Confused Kitty……..

OK here’s the state of play:
We will be doing some Shirts and stickers of some kind very soon.
We are in the process (well Derek is the one who has to do this bit) of digging up all the original artworks for the logo so we can create a proper scalable non-anti-aliased logo that can be provided electronically to people that make the kind of merchandise items.
I will also be using that same logo to offer a small amount of stuff through CafePress – it will be mainly aimed at those outside of Australia. It will also let us supply some truely unique gear and boost our profile globally.
We will initially sell it direct through the Forums and Derek and Myself, but if there’s sufficient support I’m sure Steve from Trading Direct will be happy to handle larger volumes of items.
Thanks again for all your comments and ideas and please keep them coming.

Getting right back on track (no RC type pun intended)…
DGS – Maybe 5 to an A4 page might be a better fit. Round down the size to suit better prices and ease of manufacture. Either way, throw a rough quote together for A&D so we can get the ball moving.
Kitty – Looks like you have the green light to get quotes on Shirts. As they’ll be more expensive than the stickers, perhaps get quotes with a few different options as has been discussed in the forum previously.

unfortunately there is no printing involved in our process, all vinyl is cut, meaning higher detailed pics are a no-go. Like I said tho, no prob to do just the text, but yes, would look better with the Lancer…

yes, this is true Gt-ahh, but it would look heaps better with its full detail. I’ll see how it looks however… It also depends where they’re gonna be stuck, if on real(?!)cars, and shirts, etc. go with the full logo, and for the Bits, track adverts, etc. use the text only. Just a thought. Aaron? What you think??

I’ve just organised a quote for 500 and 1000 screen printed bumber stickers. 3 colour (Red, Blue, Black). 60m x 360m (double business card size)
I’ll let you all know once I get a response. At least then A&D will have a ball park figgure.

Stickers screen printed.
500 for $590
1000 for $71560mm x 180mm (oops got the size wrong before)
Need to supply a JPG of the image at a good res to print that size. Current logo prints to about 25mm x 80mm, and at an average res.I also asked a sticker/label maker nead work. For runs of over 1000 they would become very competitive with the screen printer. 2000+ and they will be much cheaper per unit.

None of the options are going to be cheap – Tshirts, Stickers, etc. At least now A&D have an idea of what they might be up for if they go ahead with the merchandising idea.
I still think Decals would be the cheapest option. A few pages of white and clear decal sheets is about 10 – 20 Aus$, and you could probably get about 100 to a page, if not waaay more.
$1 each, plus postage. Mind you, there still needs to be enough buyers. So far only about 30 people have voted or enterred conversation on this discussion.

I think they thought of that when thye openned this can of worms, that they’d be up for the initial cost, and that it wouldn’t be cheap. They did after all put Tshirts on the poll.
Any more great ideas people, on different AusMicro products. Hey, with the stickers they could just rebadge fishing tackle boxes (that are the right layout and sizes for BCG and Mz) as AusMicro carry cases.

Exaccery. Who cares where they source them from, as long as they fit the cars, and with the sticker on them in nice prominent displaym when the cases go to race meets, they’ll be advertising to the people who need to see the site – other RC people. Perfect plan, eh.

Hey fella’s,
Geez a girl goes away for a couple of days and look out!!!
I can tell you that A&D will NOT be putting that kind of money up front on this deal.
The story so far young Jedi…..
We get prices, then we get numbers of people wanting to buy, we get them to forward the money ‘up front’ and when all the cash is in our hot little hands, then we go and pay for the items, and post them out accordingly.
I have a few iron’s in the fire about the shirts, but the thing is, we need people to put up their hands, to say “yes we will buy, here’s our money in good faith”
That, ladies and gentlemen, is the only way you are going to get any merchandise in your hot little hands.
Next?

Sounds like decals are a simple plan then. Only $20 up front for A&D.
Getting a few hundred people to sign up for stickers is quite unlikely. Probably only 20-50 people would sign up for T-shirts, and that would depend on price.

:)Hi Everyone,
OK I’ll make this 100% rock solid clear right now. Derek and I shall NOT be footing any of the setup charges. Considering we’ve been on-air for 10 months and I’m some $2K out of pocket thus far I’m not going further into the red.Yes that’s how much hosting the site costs!
The reason we’ve run the poll is to determine what kind of merchandise people would like to see, so we can then find ways of making it happen. But I repeat we will not be fronting several hundred dollars required to produce hundreds of items.
So our current Status is:
I have gotten some partial artworks from Derek to let me start creating the proper images for making logos with sharp edges and the like.
I will produce two logos, one with the car in detail, the slightly different.Once we have the logos I will enable the CafeExpress merchandise first.
I have talked with Kitty and she’s goign to handle getting some local pricings for T-Shirts. Obviously the first batch won’t be cheap, but they will be exclusive.

Sign me up for a T shirt. Obviously $100 for a T is too much… cheaper the better. Just warn me in advance first. Even if it’s just the logo on the front. I’d prefer screen printed in the middle of the chest, but if embroiderring is the only way, then the logo over the nipple.

*shakes head*Quote:I have talked with Kitty and she’s goign to handle getting some local pricings for T-Shirts. Obviously the first batch won’t be cheap, but they will be exclusive.Yes indeedy!!! I am going to make this work, you all wait and see!!!! I will get overall prices on say 12 shirts, but will not give anyone actual go ahead to start work until I have 12 people willing to buy them, and pay up front. I will get copies of the artwork I will develop, in conjunction with A&D, so that you all can see what you’re getting for your money.
Any extra $$ will go towards A&D getting a free shirt each…. I figure it’s the least we forum users can do??????

Not a whole sheet, just two decals the right size for the side, or rear spoiler of your Bit or MiniZ?

DaveF, That’s a very kind offer. We’d ofcourse ensure your costs were covered first though! Are those Decal sheets white and will they go through a colour laser printer? as well as inkjet? I simply have to find out where to get some becuase I’ve not seen them here in Canberra!
Updated Status
I have constructed a high-resolution ‘sharp’ version of the logo without the little red car for use as a basic logo. It is tweaked slightly to compensate for the missing car. Derek and I probably still have some artistic issues to sort out with it but the fundamentals are there.Kitty has been flat out working with ideas on the shirts, and I have to say it’s looking impressive! At this stage we’re working on a number of different design ideas…
And for those in the US (and elsewhere around the globe) there’ll be a range of merchandise available through CafePress that will be quite wide. Ofcourse there’s nothing to stop Aussies from buying from CafePress either, just keep in mind it’s in US$ and postage my be a little high.

My best mate’s working in Canberra at the moment, but I have his bit here (he left it here at Xmas).
The decal sheets I can get are for bubblejet. I know there are laserjet ones available, and they’d be my preference, but I can’t find them locally. There would be a shop in Melbourne or Sydney with them though surely (All those HO train buffs).
It’d be good to gte my hands on the new crisper logo, if only for conformity of product. With the size I’ll be doing though, I don’t think an uncrisp little car will be noticed. =o)

Wow Kitty – They look unreal. Obviously your got the prototype logo design to work with you prototype testing idea!
On the Decal front guys, we could do a small sheet (about half A5 size) with say 3 Mini-Z sized logos and some tiny ones for Bits for about $2.50 plus postage.
My preference is to do an A5 sheet with some for 1/10 scale, Mini-Z and smaller plus strips for sun visor bands and wings. This would be about $5 and gives your a stack of decals.
Why so pricey? Well that paper (the GOOD quality commercial grade stuff) ain’t cheap, and neither is running them through either a hi-res laser (my preference for the crisp detail) or ink-jet. At those prices we’d be covering costs and that’s about it.
Postage will be an issue as well, they’ll need to be sent in suitable envelopes with some solid card to make sure they don’t get ruined.
In other words they won’t be super cheap but they’ll be affordable and top quality! I won’t be settling for anything less.

Hmmmmmm maybe………
Depends on what you offer for it I guess!
And I haven’t put the decals on it because the shell is still brand new as it came in packaging.
I even have the pop up headlights too😀
Will try and send you a pic of the shell tomorrow, but for tonight, this Kitty is curling up for her catnap!!!!!
Nightey Nite everyone!

The mock up you’ve done looks good. I think it really needs the little car in it though. Looks empty with the gap betwen the Size matters and the .com. I’ll play around with the mock up I’m doing.

The mockup looks really good. Seems to be a little to open without the little red car though. Perhaps if the black bar for Sirze matters went all the way to the .com?
I think we need the little red car.

I’m working on art work with the little car on it, but it’s tough going!

I’ve been able to isolate the car from the original logo, but it’s very small, and only at 72 DPI. I’ve tried expanding and contracting it, but I’m not sure how well it will print at 600 dpi.

How about we keep the little car for banners and T shirts…. but for decals, I have to ask the question, why do we put a little car on a little car??????
If you know what I mean?????
Even the “Where size does matter” isn’t ‘necessarily’ required on the decals on the cars…….

kitkat is being sensible, no way should the car or the slogan (i hate that word) be on the decals.

Two words. Logo recognition.
The same reason there’s always a kangaroo on a qantas banner, the stupid T on the Telstra banner, etc. Even made into minuature format, it makes it look right.

Personally I’m happy to see the end of the little car on any form of printed material. It’s going to be very time consuming to make it print properly and look decent.
The tag-line “Where size does matter” will stay on all material down to a size point where it becomes pointless (ie Bit sized decals)
At least that’s the way I see it.

February 19, 2003 at 7:40 pm #40866Quote:…running them through either a hi-res laser (my preference for the crisp detail) or ink-jet.
Ink-jet? No way, it’ll never last and the coated paper (I’d use ‘vinyl’ or ‘film’) is easily $3-5/A4 already.
Colour lasers still don’t seem very flash… haven’t seen anything that has impressed me suficiently.
Dye sub… hmm, not bad! Anyone got access to a dye sub printer?

We’ve got a wax printer, but I’m not sure of the sorts of heat involved in the printing.

Why not… if it’s the logo. I can’t think of a motor industry related logo that contains a specific model of car in it, but if it did, I’m sure when they sponsorred race teams the logo would contain the original image, regardless of car models.
Then again we’re not being sponsorred, so it’s each man for himself in the shark infested waters. I’m butting out. I have no need for a flame war, inscite riot, or get into an argument.

I am trying to keep the little car for the TeeShirts, and if I manage to get really creative *pant pant* I may do some one off banners and flags that we can use at meets……
Dunno though… depends on the cost to be honest!!!!
Am hoping for prototype shirts to be available at the Lithgow meet for all to see……
BUT…………
No promises here… I actually gotta do some work at some stage…..*ducks and looks exceptionally productive whenever boss around*
