  The Furlani track is about to have it’s first Grand Prix. Paul suggested I have a trophy for the 1st place getter (seeing as we’re short on magnums of champagne and hot grid girls).
  
  I have a photo of the trophy on page 3 of the sports section of the newspaper. It’s the latest photo on my track site (see link in my sig).

  I’m actually thinking of making some track to sell!
  
  2m x 1m board, with about 8-10m of actual track on it. You’ve seen the quality. Keep in mind that to make that track would probably take about a month for me to complete to the same standard.
  
  I’ve seen a basic grey plastic track (no advertising, no start finish line, etc.) sell for $200 US, so I’m not sure how much to ask. I might make it some and put it on eBay.
  
  Anyone care to make an offer now? You could also PM me the offers.
  
  As for the trophy, I’ll be doing an animated gif of it rotating and might dodgey up a little web page for it, with results, photos, some vid snippets, etc. We’ll see what time and work commitments allow.

  it would be good to have a race on your track sometime Dave but until then we have a track that takes 38.01 seconds to finish one lap with a 2.2 motor. but it would be pretty sweet on your track dude.

  yeh dave weve been doing some calculations, we worked out that on the the track with 2.2 motors we were going approx 1.25 metres a second, its pretty quick for only a 2.2 considering corners !

  The theory is pretty simple – in order to claim tax deductions you have to be making money from your “hobby”. If you can demonstrate earning income then you can claim your bits, etc as a cost of earning that money. So basically make some money with your bits and then you can deduct the cost of getting them. But be careful as you have to assign “personal use” percentages to your deductions, etc,etc. If you can prove that your bit activities earn money it’s worth trying to deduct some of the cost of your bits.

  Dave hasnt been to work since he finished, he’s been hibernating in his room with his BCG and track, he has so far charged 411 times and has been thru 31 sets of AA battery’s my sources tell me he has at least 3000 more batterys so we wont be seeing him until next year or until a convention:D
