  Here it is, the first days work of the Bit Charged Raceway.
  
  The materials used and cost:
  
  3 Chalkboard – $16 each
  6 Corner Moldings (white) – $3.50 each
  Super Duper Glue – $3.00
  Stanly Knife – ours
  
  It took us (Barrell, Skywalker and I) about 6-7 hours but that was with a fair few breaks. Plus, Barrell and I did nearly all the work coz Skywalker (my brother) just stuffed about all day finding stuff to eat (chocolates) and not to eat (I think the Shredder stored Mutagen in the Milo tin).
  
  Anyway, here are some picts.

  Its a great track !! 😀 Like Mondo said took us about 7 hours, 5 hours approx of actual work on the track tho. The design took us about 20 seconds lol, and then we were off, with a slight change with the tight left hander which just happened itself.
  
  We ran 2.2 motors, and that was fine, maybe a tad quick, but still a heap of fun.
  
  Now we have to work on the cosmetics, and it should be perfect, and ready to show off as the exhibition show.

  The chalk board comes up really well. How thick is that stuff.
  
  I painted my track surface with blackboard spray paint and spent nearly as much money on the paint as you guys did on the board already surfaced!!:sad:
  
  Can’t wait to see some more pics with a bit of the cosmetic detailing done.

  the chalk board is only pretty thin, only about 2 cms thick, but we are going to mount them on thicker pieces of wood and make an outside barrier.
  
  WE havent had an actual race yet, we have the put the starting line and grids in yet, and open up pit lane, and well be ready for some official racing !

  i suggest varnish on the corners, if you want to slide then varnish is your friend

  Nice! that is the car in the shot bitcharg5? It looks like it has a crazy wing on it! I found this nice stuff the other day for edging the track, it wont damage the cars at all, i use it for my road tracks now, its this foam roll from clark rubber and one side of it it adhesive, comes in 7 meter rolls and you can just stick it on and if your over it, just pull it off, no glueing or nailing, simple!

  i reckon the best thing is tomy AFX gaurd rails, they are awesome for coming round a track. not to much work appyling them and they make the corners look realistic

  I like Corner Molding coz it’s cheap ($3), comes in three colours (black, white and brown) and it’s easy to bend and cut. Plus it’s really easy to add decals to it. You can get different heights too. Great stuff!!!

  Hey Cranga, that car your talking about is my Custom Honda Accord with dual exhausts, and custom F1 wing, i will take more detailed pictures soon, its a very nice car, you like it ? 🙂

  no its actaully from a 1/32 scale model car that i had, and it actually fits on the accord not too bad, i realise its a bit crazy casue its so big, but its not too big which makes it just look sick 😀
