      Well I just picked up my tickets and I’m off to Thailand for two weeks for a bit of R&R, I leave in 17 sleeps, and counting……
      Anybody know if you can get BCGs in Thailand????
      I was hoping to pick up a few nice and cheap.
      What do you think my chances will be?

      thailand .. hmm not REAL sure, maybe ! But knowing thailand, there will probably be heaps of cheap clones, so just be careful !

      Found BCGs in most shopping centres and dept stores Singapore and Malaysia, but there’s nothing there that we don’t already know about. Thailand wouldn’t be too far behind?

      Pricing is nothing special either, but at least you can buy them *retail*. If you’re lucky you’ll find the usual hopup packs too.

      But for some unknown reason… Singapore’s dept stores had BCGs all packed in “Gloria” boxes, but inside it had either bronze Gloria, white Accord wagon or a black bB. Differing freqs too; can’t explain it at all! (Maybe somebody in the packing dept had a really bad day?:D)

      Yeh I figure there will be plenty of clones around. I’ll keep an eye out for Bit Car-g too..lol, thanks GT-ahh
      Coz, if they are there, and they are the real McCoy,and cheap, I’ll be ditchin half the clothes I brought with me and stuffing my bags with bits for sure.
      Shypes ol boy if I can find a cheap “wild”, I’ll buy us both one, that goes for the Gloria too.

      Just got to figure out how to get the time alone to do the ‘important’ shopping.

      Not sure what you call ‘cheap’, generally the real Tomicas in Asia are about A$30-40 each (depending on “tourist tax”:)) after exchange. The clones, well I didn’t even bother asking on them. Tomica hopup packs start from about $8.

      If you’re really serious about carting a whole swag back, just ditch the boxes. You can carry about 4x as much if you build & ditch the boxes.
