I dunno… Digi-Q pricing is pretty extreme, and they’re not that common with Wholesalers either. Bit of a shame really.

IMO, they both have strengths and weaknesses, read my Digi Q FAQ in regard to that

hey you guys, I have been dormant on this forum for a while, I’m glad to see ausmicro up in the running. I have a skyline, it is nice, and I got it for around $35 too. IMO I think that they deserv more attention, but they are very quirrly, and don’t handle all that great. They are speed demons though. they are kinda inconsistant in handling, becuase of the differential steering, butI have no problem with that. I heard that the digi q circuit course is nice. it is very large and has plenty of room for adjustments.

Hi i’m new to digiqs and wanna ask one thing: i’ve seen in the data page of Takara digiq-r section that the nsx is a real gimmik type and the nissan castrol pitwork is a real gimmik HG type. Can you tell me the difference between these two models? What does it means HG? I would like to buy one but i wanna be they are the same things in performance and handling.
Thank you
Fabry -

i’ve only got the Pitwork, but i’ll tell you what I know (which is’nt much on Digi’s.) The HG stands for high grade, i’m figuring its the brightness of the lights. They all handle pretty much the same (HG anyway.) There’s also the “steering” QR’s, which have funtioning front wheels, but these are all driven by the rear wheels, one motor per wheel.

I find the TX between the normal digi Q’s and the R’s is different. The R’s have very low power going to the motors in reverse unlike the normal ones.
I have the ae86 R and the cox Beetle normal and the R handles way better then the normal Q’s.
They are fun little cars but do take some getting used to.
For there size they are really fast out of the box.
