      I have seen a mod on some site that involved basically installing the IR and PCB from a Digi-Q into a Bit. Does anyone think that it is worth the
      time and effort?

      Since the majority of people here are propeller heads just begging at the excuse to do weird and wonderfull things to their Bits (pun!) I guess you could say yes!

      i would do it if i were u cos the IR is so much better than the aerial, i hav a Digi Q and it works so much more nicely with IR

      it wouldnt be 2 hard Barrelll. it would just be a straight PCB swap im guessing and u could even use the Digi Q controller if u wanted to, way better than the BCG ones, also if u got the Digi Q special Propo u can “code” in certain settings to make ur car drive in ceratin ways

      You *have* to use the DigiQ controller, you have no choice. Cannot use the BCG one, it becomes useless.

      But think overall cost… well, you’re down 1 BCG and 1 DigiQ to make into just 1 working car. 🙁
