they start from about $240 … average price is $280. they are the length of ur palm. compared to bits they absolutely rock. whether they are worth $250+ is questionable but they are a hell of a lot of fun.

      http://www.tradingdirect.com.au has mini-z’s for approx $230..prob the cheapest you’ll find…

my mini-z was $229 on special from hobbyco…
I bought a computer controlled charger from Dicksmiths ($70) and 650maH NiMH from jaycar ($12)
so all up i spent around $320…but its well worth it. After buying a mini-z I hardly ever play with my bits anymore because im too busy drifting my z round the loungeroom

the _bit they take 4 AAAs in the car, and 8AAs in the controller. ID reccomend getting some nimh AAA’s for the car and some rechargeable alkalines for the controller

Nah, forget rechargeables in the TX – not worth the $$$. Tried Greencells and the like and they all *leaked* after a while.

Just stick with normal alkalines, imho they’re the best if you never forget to turn TX off after use. A set lasts a very long time.

yeah but its is a nuisance having both topics meaning exactly the same thing, where if the_bit read the previous topic none of this would have happened, thread closed.
