Mini4WD bearings – no good

  Rediscovered my totally-hopped-up Mini4WD last night… and hmm the (option) ballbearings looked familiar…! 🙂
  
  Out with the callipers…
  wow, outer diameter is 6mm !! so far so good!
  Shaft that it sits on is… (wait for it)… 2mm!!
  
  Wow, could it be? :smiley16: Is it a 620 bearing??
  
  Quick quick, unbolted a mZ front wheel.
  Yup, bearing fits into the wheel hole. :p
  But nope, doesn t fit on the axle shaft. 😯
  
  Problem is – the Mini4WD uses hexagonal cross-section
  axle shafts, and the bearings have hex inner holes too.
  The axle might be 2mm, but this is across the tips only
  and it won t fit onto a 2mm round shaft. 🙁
  
  Oh well, worth the story.

  LHS has original Kyosho BB set with a $89.95 tag.:shy: Brown usual packaging.
  
  Ya its probably ~A$20 (incl postage) if you buy from say HK or similar o/s. I’m still accumulating a list of stuff I’m after before putting an order through. Might as well hit it all at once.

  yeh thats where i got my mods from, worked out cheaper to get the whole lot even tho im not using all of it atm

  be warned that not all mods r created equal the topcrap engine holder rides a bit low the front susp holder doesnt travel smooth on the kingpins..but on the other hand u aint paying over 300 for hobbycos stuff

  im not sure if they come with tyres or not, there are tyres in the pciture, but im not too sure, i dont think theyd be much good anyway

  they do come with tires, on ebay all the companys only sell topcads with tires, i am pretty sure they are meds
