Nimh Battery, faster motor, it depends on how serious u are and how much money you got, iv got all the accessories, but if u want to keep it simple, id say the battery and motor

there is 2 types of mods
cosmetic adding stuff or moding shells
and peformance with 2 sub catagorys TOMY mods and personal mods
TOMY mods adding a 3.0 and soft tyers ect
personal mods adding batts taking out chip to extend your rangeCompactChar-G 40Mhz S2000 range mod, spring suppention

Its a personal preference more than anything.
It does make your box a little less portable/pocketable though!!

trust me it isnt very hard, the guy who first did it was 14 and he did an amazing job, some has also converted an Atari controller to BCG aswell

has someone made a psx control a bcg control? i would just prefer a normal or 4 band control all those buttons on psx control and no use for them:dead:
the bit i recommend the “tomy mods” first like new tyres, motors, axels, etc

Check out your local DSE, Tandy etc or find a cheap transistor radio that you can strip. $2 Shops are great for these things.

the old TV’s where the aerial is usually plug in or just a set of rabbit ears, its just on top of the TV usually behind the picture, you cant miss it

seriously how cant you understand me. a TV has an aerial….you take it off and the mount it to your controller. it stick right out the back, if you cannot find it then you seriously have some problems

the bit – I had the same problem as you, I thought shypo was talking about taking the lights off a TV too. Shypos advice is always A1, so I was also wondering for a moment or too were the lights were on a TV. It gave me a bit of a laugh when I worked out what was going on though.

2 speed controllers? I guess your talking about the 4 band controllers ? I reckon they are great, a must if you are going to have a few different controllers, and also a booster as it means u only need the one controller, and its heaps better than the stock ones

I noticed that the auto modellista set comes with a normal controller but has 2 speed on it. I would like to know some stuff before i get the set like where or how to use the dual speed mode and also like where the hell do u press to make it go slow or fast.

there is a button on the top right hand conrer, push it down-boost- take your finger off-no boost, very simple to do.

ohhhh i think u should kno….say u have a 2.2 in ur booster car, without boost it goes like a 1.0 or 1.6, but with boost it goes like 2.2 or 2.3 so it not really “boost” it actually runs the same speed as a normal bit with a 2.2 when it has boost on.

Without boost it will run at about 1.6 – 2.0 speeds (1.9 if the engine existed), and like a 3.8 when boosted.
There is no extra speed to be gained out of a motor from a booster set, just control in cornering. They provide half speed and normal speed for any gievn motor.

id have to disagree with dave and char-geer. I believe that the car with boost on goes faster than the normal speed of the motor. If its a 2.2 motor, without boost its about 1.6, with boost its around 2.6.
Lets say what others say.
Cranga the booster sets alone are kinda hard to get but i got mine from bit_charg_oz when they has one in, but you could just buy a 350Z or Auto Modellista set and uise the 4 cahnnel controller for those boost chassis’, thats what id do.

best gears depends on what your racing, same as a normal car, if you want acceleration, accleration gears, etc, id mainly use high speed on mine tho.

the standard 2.2 it (my new booster) came with sucked hard! noisier than a cyclona! the gears didn’t mesh proper!…. took about 8 set ups but i cracked it and now the pullback supra shell (damn fine, comes pre-tinted!) completes the look of the drift master.
ended up using the slower yellow nanoracer motor (more torque) and normal orange gears (my other cars still need decent gear!) with blues onthe back and purple on the front.

there is normal mode, non boost mode, and full boost mode, cant remember which letter is which, but that is what they all are.

Yeh Barrell got it right,
just to confirm
A is standard control mode (non boosted cars)
B is normal unboosted mode (booster button works)
C is boost always ON modeB & C are only for booster chassis cars
