Those cars are awesome, especially like the second photo and the last one of the gtr2000. That gtr 2000 is a nice colour, and nice ute mod.

thanks fellas! tha secret of the orange torana scheme is wash’s of ink. the vintage citadel red wash (discontinued me thinks) fills lines and didn’t pool up over the edges. any extra info, just ask…

so the ute is a success?

as for the datto can you tell it’s orange!!! two ppl already reckon it’s red!!! my gf reckons i’m colorscrewed (not blind just mixed up)

i thought it was supposed to be a Torana not a Datto:question:

newbster, i posted details of the paintjob on a thread intitled “the source of the matrix”.

camoflage needs a set colour scheme, i.e urban, jungle, desert or i.r.a flouro orange.

better BB pics are on there way, good luck newbster. um anothr way to practice camo is on a peice of paper draw 10 boxes, then one by one attemt a pattern/chaos better than the last trying different rules like, streight edges (urban), curved only, etc

the rules i followed are in the “source”..

dave the photos are at bit charg oz not admirals.:smiley2:

the leyland p76. dodgy ozzy icon. i think the leyland motor co.produced about 3 different models before the leyland brothers stopped making bombs, i mean cars.

Old joke, but here it goes,

The Leyland P76 should have been called the P38, because it was only half the car they made it out to be.

If I remember corectly, it is one of the only cars (sedan) that you can fit a 44 gallon drum and a bale of hay in the boot!!

      How’s that for handy!!:smiley2:

The cars were crap, but the V8 version had a really sweet 4.4 litre all Alloy motor which went really well. And the manual single rail gearbox was also really tough.

Enough useless info for one day!!

      Hey Z-Beam

Checked out your Micro’s, saw the “ute”! You think I got my flaming idea from that? Maybe it’s me but I don’t see the slightest resemblence between that and my bB dude! I was going for more of a 2-tone w/flame edge look. I see you hand painted the flames along with brush painting the entire car, that’s obvious. Looks a lil rough would ya say? Try spray painting next time, it’s not that difficult, don’t you trust your skilz? Flames look faded and not sharp but as you mentioned to me..”You can’t rush flames” which I believe you said you did? I do like the steering wheel, dash, seat idea, very original. I also like the way you made the bB look like it just came from off-roading…..nice touch!

Just returning the favor and bustin Ya balls a lil……

my post was a bit of a joke actually, check it out now it’s reversed. nothin like getting some heated intrest. i knew as soon as youd seen the bit i was talkin about you would laugh. and as a final way of admitting my hippocracy the picture is entitled “rushed flames”.

they were such c@nt$ to do…

as for spray, i do some times, i just love acryllic thats all.

p.s DT i painted the whole car in about 4 hours, now that was rushed. de/re-construction took a sundays spare time

i’ve always had dreams of owning and racing a contach. bits are the ultimate in poor mans racing, and the hobby will be boosted even more with the release of the updated chassis.

i just hope spring suspension will be compatible with the new unclippable front nuckles, and that the extra button is put to good use:D

dt: i seen u in the pimps hood, thats why i trixtya.whats all this about the darkside of bit pimps?

cranga: when i look at it, i don’t mind it…
i wonder what our international members think of the p76?

The word targa can be in English.
You know how a MR2 has the roof which comes off and clips back in but its just the roof. not the back window or anything?
thats what the Targa Micro_amps is talking bout i reckon…

      kewl.

“after the events in the middle east went down, the z-team realised that if they wanted security and a future they needed some defences.
so as a homeland defence strategy, the z-camo-Bb
has been refitted to take on any invading forces by adding a 50cal on the back and a towable anti-tank gun.”
