Hi
I wasn’t sure where to post an introduction but I figured here was OK as I only have BCGs at the moment (If it’s not could someone move it?).
I’d heard about these Micro RC cars a while ago but the only place I knew of where I could get them was charging 150 each. Nice but too much for me!
Anyway my dad sent me his Bensu 4WD clone (bullet case) last week and I was hooked. Unfortunately it took me 3 days to get the steering working correctly, It would have only taken an afternoon but most of that time was spent looking for the spring after I dropped it! Caught up in the rush of screaming around the floor I went searching for more info. After a few more hours I had decided on some Lxx Auto Modelista Clones which I found on eBay for about 20 AUD each. Yesterday they arrived and I’ve hardly put them down since:D
I decided I’d join these forums as I am living in Australia now(although it’s only been a year since I left Scotland) and because I’d particularly like to know if there is a good source of parts in Melbourne, or anywhere in Australia actually. I’ve already checked out trading direct.
Anyway I’m off to Jaycar tomorrow to seek out some 150 mah batteries, new aerials and some other bits and peices to build a standalong variable time charger. Although these Lxx cars work better out of the box the aerial is a total pain and they’re no where near as comfortable as the round controller from the Bensu.

Barrelll, don’t worry 🙂 I’ve already I’ve downloaded your price list about half an hour after I posted. I’m tempted by the 4 band contoller but I’m really after 150 mah batteries at the moment.

if you got off the ninemsn group its a little old, that site is kinda forgotten about casue were making another one, email them for an updated one, they have 150mah batteries too.

Uh there’s a little known battery shop here in Melb called Battery Masters (?). (Sorry, the names totally slipped my mind… but I know that they’re NOT battery world) They’re like a factory outlet along North Rd.
Last time I called they had NiMH batts going for about $4.50 or something not incl GST…
Look in the white pages…
