  I’m thinking of selling dual cell modded sets, utilising the aussie compact char-g. These would have by far the most performance per dollar than any other tomy car. The chassis will be modified with dual cells (130mAh NImH) in a sleeper arrangement. The controller will also be modified to charge the dual cell battery correctly.
  
  The following models are available:
  
  27MHz Silver Honda S2000
  
  27MHz White Skyline GTR
  
  40MHz Yellow Honda S2000
  
  40MHz Blue Skyline GTR
  
  I am just wondering if anyone would be interested, and what price do youthink is fair?

  well what you have to do is add up the cost of the car, the batteries, and then how much labour you have to put into it, about $75 ??

  Shypo mate I dont normally like doing the mod to *other ppl’s* cars. Its a straightforward operation but there is always the risk of failure.
  I am willing to do the mod for u, but u will have to supply the cells. Barelll if I do 2 dual cell mods for u can i owe you less money instead of u paying me?
  
  SETANTA: I am not sure but most bodies will fit straight on, Im further developing the mod to accept the honda S2000, because the roof is so low, the components get in the way.

  work out what you want for the labor, most ppl who are regular already have at least two compacts allready. maybe talk to trading direct about a supply of 35mhz and 57mhz cars. i’d pay $80 for a sleeper 57mhz… but no way do we need more compact shells.. i’d prefer a shelless chassis to pop my brand new supra pullback shell onto!

  $75 per set. It is harder to get BCG, wheras compacts are readily available-and cheaper.

  The speed these cars travel at is enough to scrape and damage the shell, a dead common compact shell doesnt matter if it gets stuffed, but a nice bcg shell from japan…………..your choice.

  I would prefer to sell a working dual cell mod rather than risk damaging somebody else’s chassis.
  the other option is 27Mhz.
  
  If somebody can find me a supplier of BCG’s for a reasonable price, please tell me because I want to keep prices to a minimum.

  Ya, I saw that; I was more wondering “how”…
  
  Are you putting extra cells in the TX? ‘Cos 2 AAs won’t charge dual bits very well even when you hook them direct to the chargepod.
  
  Also opens question of overcharging risk if there’s no timer anymore. You don’t want too many product complaints due to user abuse. :dead:

  Instead of full sets, how about just supplying a new car chassis already modded… let the owner BYO the TX and shell.

  Hmmmm ive tried changing the capacitor in the circuit, but it doesnt help much. I need to find a way of isolating the charging circuit from the Tx circuit. If i can do this then i can put a DC jack in the Tx case, which connects to the charging circuit. Then a separate 3-4 cell pack can be plugged in to do the dirty work.

  Jamies dual cells are freakin nuts! the job is just well inhuman. I don’t think i have ever seen anything as well done. Everything dremeled and precicely done. It is a true work of art. And at $75 a pop i can tell you the work he puts in, he aint getting shit outta it!:smiley16::smiley16::smiley16:

  exactly what i ddi to my s2k for my hot wheels wing, i used my dads power drill which made sum reasonable huge holes in the back so i had to fill them then redrill and file away.

  Yeah thanks Pcain, just hope these are gunna catch on, ive worked out what i need to charge the dual cell chassis, so production is not far away. As for the reliability of the sets, ask Pcain, his (i think) is still going just as well as the day i modded it.
