Well i finished this body. and i must say that it does fit quite well. i did have to shave about a half a milimeter from the inside of the body by the rear wheels.. but other than that its perfect. my paint job is kinda so so… but after about 5 min of taping things i said the hell with tape and just free handed the rest. paint was completely brushed on. i did thinn the paint so it wasnt so thick, which helped reduce brush lines. but after a coat of clear and a light sanding.. you cant even find the brush lines.. in some of the pics you can see a second body.. i plan on painting it white with candy green flames, and putting a surfboard on top.. probably also painted candy green.. o well what do you all think…

i still have to paint on the silver trim.. also there is auctually a real wood texture in the mold so the paint will kinda look woody which is kinda cool(only in the wooded areas) this one still needs some cleanup.. but it was more or less a test body for me to play with to learn how to paint this body..

Oh yea this is a ZIP ZAP body!! and fits directly to the tabs currently on the chassis. it just snaps on just like a regular body.

Nice one spanky. I’ve been waiting to see what the woody looked like. Just a quick question. How much is the rersin or liquid plastic in the US? For approx 1 pint 825ml I’ts ?34 here in the UK thats about 50 dollars for the alumilite natural colour. I just wondered if it would be cheaper to get it sent from the US? Oh ive started on my gloria pickup too. I’m at the putty stage but I’m off to a motorcycle rally for the weekend so no work till monday (too much vodka). catch u laters

holy shnikes.. thats expensive.. i pay about 12 dollars for a quart. (regularly 18.99 for a quart, but the store puts out a 40% of any item every week..) i dont use the alumlite resin though. i use castin-craft clear plastic. (its a polyester resin).

i plan on switchin to this stuff when i run out of my current suply of resin..

      http://www.tapplastics.com/fiberglass/molding_casting/96_clearlite.html.

im not sure if this is something that i can ship to you because of postal regulations.. but you might want to contact them. for the same price you can get a gallon of this stuff.. although im not sure what shipping would be.. i will check to see if this is something that can be shipped… and how much it would cost.
