which car do you think should become the Ausmicro Pace car and kinda a mascot for the site.
this isnt definite i just want peoples ideas. my 2 favs are obviously the AE86 and R32. all the other cars will be done up or soemthing and have specific details

arnt pace cars useally crappy compared to the actual cars racing? i seem to remember they go slower at least. Bb is the one, or a suped up wild char-g

*laughs* now this is interesting. I shoudl add that such a car/body would need to be already made, and not marked. ie Body in white, so we could then apply the custom decals etc.

Part of the issue to control is cost. there’s heaps of cool stuff we could get made, the proble is we need to be able to afford the development cost and more importantly you guys need to be able to afford to buy it!

On a more serious note, i think it will need to be white or mostly to show off the AusMicro logo nicely I think. Maybe with a custom sporty paint job?

Indy pace cars are often Corvettes, GMs, Buicks, Camaro, etc.
On the CART site I see Supra, Firebird, Acura NSX, Viper, Toyota Solara.
Supercar series used a Holden in Australia.

Supra sounds good to me though. That’s my favourite body anyway.

Something base model in white, with some custom stickers on, that come in a sheet that you can put on yourself.
Then if you later want to change wheels, add lights etc… up to you.
Keep prices low, get everyone to buy!!!

Sell a basic shell only in white with sticker sheet.
After everyone has one, we can run a forum on what we have done to our Ausmicro Cars!!!

dont waste your time guys! a decal sheet would be enough. why do we all need to agree on the shell anyways. I reckon ‘cos ausmicro is so important to tomy’s buisness in australia derrick and aaron should get some(5) of those sexy new lambos done in white and then instead of actually wasting these beauties make a flash based game where you move the decals over 3 different angles of the car, and can submit yor creation.
then once Aaron sorts through the 100 entries he can find the best one and stick the decals on that way.

Only cost a few bucks to get them, slap on the AusMicro decals, and you have a body and look that very few if any of us have.

i think a custom pace carwould just be cool cos its kinda a LE thing but its jus cool.

a supra is quite good but i still think it sits to high on the chassis. i dont want a high car, could always drop the prototype and the other prototypes:D:smiley16:

Besides, I thought we wanted something easily available to everyone, not just something one forum member makes (that’d keep you pretty busy!) and we want Mini Z and BitCharG don’t we????

So something that is standard for both!
If both models of whatever shape are same basic colour, then we work with decals.

Simple, or so it would sound……..

I think the car issue is not a priority for Aaron or Derek at this stage.

The white Skyline 2000 GTR pullbacks would be the cheapest way to get already manufactured white bodies, unless someone has a contact at Tomy, or LXX, or some other clone company.

Then there’s the MiniZ side of things. I don’t know much about MiniZs, but a shell for those would need to be an option too.

i think a couple of people here have contacts that can get white skyline compact shells for about $5 each so itd be pretty cheap that way.

Mini Z bodies would be alot harder casue they are alot more expensive, and harder to get them cheaper.

Is there a Clone manufacturer that we could get white shells from cheaper perhaps? For BCGs and MiniZs. That way the shells might be a body type we don’t all already have. Obviously the quality of the shell is an issue also – it needs to be of reasonable quality or no one will buy them.

They should be way less that $5 per shell, seeing as the pullbacks are about $6-8 and includde the whole car, but as Kitty says, there’s an upfront cost of $500 for that, and not all of us have that kicking around like spare change.

I think the s2000 are ugly, but that’s just me. I like the Supra body – it looks mean.

i honeslty dont like the supra very much, sorry Dave and Barrelll. but it looks deformed, the front gaurds are weird, the bonnet has a huge hump in it, the back is way to high.. and the lights looks funny IMO, the black looks better than any other IMo cos u cant really see the serious imperfections…

If anyone is wonderring if they should get a Tshirt, the answer is “yes you should get one”.

Are the Tshirts approved by the AusMicro Admin people? Yes.
Do we have to pay right now? No, not until there are enough orders – if 30 people don’t say they want a T-Shirt, none will be printed. They can’t do a run of less that 30 Ts.

the set which comes with the smaller wing is the blue or white R34, the orignal R34.
the Am. pullback and GTR set are the ones with the Gt wing yes.

IMO the Tiny-rc Rspec motor is alot better as it has more low end power and torque.

the Zip Zap knuckle conversion isnt a hard one. its just badsically replacing the existing BCG ones with ZZ ones and thats it. the axles just snap into place….
