Anyone find anywhere in Oz that sells unbranded unpainted unboxed white-ABS bodyshells made to fit the MiniZ?
Kyosho has their own unpainted shells in little brown boxes, but believe these unbranded ones are cheaper. Approx price A$15-20.
Pls post if anyone knows.

no worries barrelll, i am thinking of reinforcing the insie of the shell with some sort of fibreglass or another lightweight mesh or soemthign just so tumbles dont crease the shell

ive got a 1:24 scale mr2 model… i whipped up a custon h-plate and it fits fine, it has a phat lowered look too…im too scared to drive it tho…looks really fragile

thats y it defiently needs some sort of strenghtening. i think maybe some brass tubing or something more lightweight and kinda make a roll cage

Epoxy doesn’t stick as well as you think, and it weighs a tonne.
Try “ShoeGoo” – it sticks a lot better and remains flexible; We use it on lexan bodyshells. Its made for repairing sportshoes but that’s the last thing I’ve used it for. Usually available in good shoe stores but you have to ask for it.

Just my luck, we’ve got SKATERZ here… :clown:
I found an excellent ‘other’ use for it too. If you’ve ever got problems with ppl nicking the badges of your 1:1 car (the ones with fixing studs, not the doublesided taped ones), ShoeGoo them down. 🙂 Never come off again.

You’re getting your stories wrong, Jamie… you notice how those gadgets are usually attached to modern cars like BMWs, Mercs… you’ll never pull it off with a ancient Monaro.Why???
Biggest problem being, anything of that age will usually be smelling of petrol, if not actually dripping gas. Those V8s run so rich there’s enough unburnt carbos out the tailpipe to idle a Hyundai.
Add any flame and the car would probably go up first!!!:smiley2:
(a great idea for cool-car owners to stop smoking too)

Extendable batons are (1) pretty illegal and (2) more pain-in-butt than they’re any good for. The friction-fit ones don’t work as well as they promise and I really can’t see the point of it all. If you can be bothered to carry one then by all opinions you’re a troublemaker, fair enough too.
There are better ones that are auto-extend, and some come in the shape of an umbrella. 😀 (Handy when rains too!). I’d swear by a 4xD Maglight instead though… when I get around to buying one.

Actually i heard that Launceston has the most crime per capita than any other city in AUS….
Im not a trouble maker panda, but we all need to defend ourselves sometimes.

Funnily enough, got into a discussion (with a FRIEND!! ok?) re relative merits of the colour of one’s Maglite just last Friday.
-I prefer Black or the dark gunmetal silver as its harder to see.
-He prefers Red as he reckons it “hides the blood”. 😯
Either way, doesn’t matter, his red one was still pretty handy whilst trying to change the battery in their hatchback.

Please note that brass knuckles, batons etc are “restricted” items in most states, if not outright “illegal” altogether.
Simply POSSESSION of these WEAPONS of ASS DESTRUCTION can get you into serious trouble.
