I’m in St. Louis… you know, flossin in da midwest! lol

that’d be cool too, but I meant stop by the forums and say hi, not all the members over there get a chance to get over here, and vice versa.

I wish there were more of us so we could actually start getting some racing events going.

    thanks guys.

the rims are microsizer rims that were once chrome, I cut out every other spoke like gtvolv mentioned.
DT, I think that’s why I love this body so much, it’s the only body I know of to fit on bits that looks like old school american muscle – which also why I was devistated when I first ruined the body. lol
z-beam, excellent idea homie! I might have to try that!

    probably is the wiring.

but I’ll also tell you that just because that LED light went out, doesn’t mean your batteries are fully charged, especially if the batteries in your controller are going dead. You might want to try charging till the LED goes off, take off the car from charging station, and immediately put it back on again until the LED goes out again.

I joking about the paint, kinda like the line, “it’s gotta be the shoes!”

anyways, reseating the brushes, I’m not sure you can do with those small motors. Usually you would hear some grinding or whining noises if the brushes were seated improperly.
I’ve heard of people banging on them and the brushes re-seating themselves, I probably would only try that as a last resort. I’ve also heard of people charging the car, turning it over and pressing forward, they leave it like that until the batteries are dead, and might repeat the process, but it’s all in hopes to get the brushes to be seated properly.

    Cabo’s S-2000 Stats:
    – MS Sport Honda S-2000
    – dual cell (150 mah x 2 – clone batteries)
    – pullback wheels (rears all around)
    – 1.6 (super torquey motor)
    – custom paint job

    that’s about it.
I did another dual cell with almost the exact same setup and it doesn’t run quite as fast either. I think it’s the combo of the clone batteries and the stock MS Sport PCB, coupled with this torquey motor… and we all know paint makes you go faster!:D

we’d just be guessing without knowing more info. but here’s the guesses I would take first:

    – your batteries are fully charged? may take more than 1 45 sec. charge to get the full.
    – have you been putting a lot of strain on the 2.2? and which 2.2? MicroSizer – Bit? I’ve had troubles with Microsizer 2.2’s before. If you put too much strain on the motor, like driving the car at speed and it hitting something and abruptly stopping, over time the motor can ‘fade’ out, or the brushes in the motor loose their ‘seating’. Does your motor make any weird noises or is it louder than it used to be? Could be the brushes.
    – have you disconnected and reconnected some wires? either by soldering or another method? if so, your connection might not be that great causing a loss of power.
    – is there a ‘short’? are bare wires touching eachother or the PCB? if so, this could cause problems too.

I’m outta guesses now – hope something there helps ya:smiley2:
