iwaver made this one, I got one ot the 10 in one alloy kits from toyeast.
all works pretty good but adds a lot of weight. Plus the diff is a bit of a no go.I also had to re-drill the alloy front Steering Knuckles so the king pin would slide, in fact all the steering parts required a little adjustment ie filing drilling etc. to work correctly.
anyway back to what you were saying
“I added some screw tightener/gap filler to help keep it in place. I even took it a step further and put a small dab of super glue on it. I noticed all my ball diffs having the same problem. Check that little tiny half screw.”
I don’t know what half screw you are talking about, and where did you put the super glue?
Cheers all
It’s the diff I put the old one back in and all is cool
more news on the above when i pull the trigger the wheels turn to the left a little by them self but when the trigger is at idle the wheels are normal
cool thanks the circuit board is diffrent but the good news is i found the location
question on the awd motor, is it the same as a 02’s etc?
can i use a x-speed pro (once iv’e done fet upgrades) ?cool thankyou I’ll have a crack at it
Hi all I have a firelap 02 tx can I use this with the kyosho AWD
can you stack a spider turbo will it help in performance
oops yes there are 2 wires going to the motor and 2 to the pot
there are 3 pins on the pot and 3 pins assoicited with the steering on the mainboard, this is where I tried a3 wire setup ( just to see if that would help, but stone the crows, no go)
anyway thanks, I’ll try some diffrent pots and see what happends
cheers for your help

I got the spider turbo + x-speed pro motor on a iwaver 01
the steering is all over the place changes direction when it wants and adjusting the pots is a no go , the steering will only point in one direction regardless of what adjustments I make and finding the centre for the throttle is just about impossiable, but when I get lucky and find centre and the motor stops spinning up at full rpm, as soon as i go back to adjust the steering of it goes again.
when I turn the steering wheel of it goes, it just won t stop!!!! until the batteries are flat , this only takes about 5min for them to go flat by the way. the big issue is, it sounds like it will run like a bullet BUT zero control
if I put the stock motor back its ok – well kind of , the steering is still a little dicky.
any thoughts???
