went with the last option, as a difference in speed can be achieved without a great knowledge of the guts of the thing…

tyres are a paramount investment for urban indoor racing/exploration. i would have voted for the gear set tho… those different ratios make a huge difference to the feel of the car, why get a 3.0 when a 2.6 and highspeed gears will do a better job.

what exactly does modding the POTS mean?
-
April 14, 2003 at 10:32 pm #34304
POTS mean the potentionmeter on the car.. u know the white thing under the PCB….
the booster has 2 speeds. one is half normal speed and “turbo” or full speed is about .2 faster than original—-

hmmm…. is the speed of a normal bcg equivalent to the first speed of a booster bcg? cause if it is then does that mean that our normal bcg’s aren’t using the motor to its full potential?

The speed of a normal bcg is equal to the boosted speed of a boosted car. When not using the boost effect the motor runs at lower rpm?s.

Anyone who doesn’t vote for the dual cell mod obviously has not done it. I only say this because I’m the original inventor of the mod!

seen alice lately pete? RESPECT THE MASTER!
boosters work at +.2 but dont last as long as a normal single cell.
mr.prabbit, is there a way of increasing drive time AND power?
-
April 30, 2003 at 11:29 am #39641
Well, let’s see. My dual nimh cell mod pops wheelies and holds the wheelie for about 3 feet long. And, it lasts about 15 minutes on a good charge. Have you seen my wheelie videos. I’m pretty sure Derek posted them on this forum somewhere. Also, I have video of my bit doing an up-side-down loop and a huge 10″ tall jump with ease on my web page.

My next mod will be the mosfet upgrade.

15 minutes is very respectable, wishin i could solder good.
your stuntwork is like dreamland man.this is why you are a bitmaster.:smiley2:
what iwas asking tho is if the dual batts can be rigged for stamina intsead of power, so you dont get the “wheely” effect?
