Hi Ph2t,
I just built the first stage, the throttle Lm324 is up and working.
To be honest, I just checked it in a straight line and it works very well.
I’ll use a Bit Char – F controller (F for Frankestein !):
forward throttle with LM324 propo emulator,
steering and reverse still in digital.

I’ll try to gather enough data to help you with the coding signal problem.

Jack Stinson’s home page, a USA ho slotter, has a Modena and I have seen a bad moulded Modena in a China shop here in Italy.

Hi,
speaking about boosters… I bought 4 automodellista LXX from Toy East and I just unpacked the yellow Supra 57 mhz.
My booster’s controller is not able to control a standard 57Mhz Shen Qi wei and the Shen’s controller is not able to control the LXX.
They do not make interference so I can drive the 2 57Mhz cars together without problem.
Are you experiencing similar situation ?

I guess your tellow is faster than white. Same here with Precious clone. White is very crappy, sort of 1.6
Yellow has good acceleration but it is slower than orange 2.6 Shen

There is a worldwide competition called Ferrari Challenge with the Modena 360 and cars have very good racing painting, take a look for your next 360 Modena (like yellow with Pirelli markings…)

I think that motors came from the same sources, Tomy or clone have same motors, imho.

blue 1.0
yellow 2.2
orange 2.6
white 3.0

I’m not sure about green 1.6

I have 3 white motors, they have very little “brake” I have to use reverse to slow down the car because it has a high coasting (?) speed.
Good top speed but not so good acceleration so, on my track, the car arrive too fast at the end of main straight and it is difficult to slowdown and corner.
Maybe 3.0 it can be but, for sure, faster than 2.2 and 2.6 but not “raceable” as 2.2 and 2.6 imho:)

No ho slot is not so popular here, mainly 1/32 slot. I found that Polistyl 1:66 spring fit very nice on bit char g. unfortunately Polistyl is out of business so it is very difficult to find cars (and springs !!).
I recovered 2 pair from an old set and I’ll try it on my Shen Qi Wei.

well I do not use it to charge my Shen Qi, I’m using a separate regulated Ni-Cd 2 Amp/h battery charger and I charge the bits for 5 minutes to achieve good 30/40 minutes of driving.
Even with a 5 minutes charge the internal battery doesn’t warm at all. The Lm317 regulated battery charger is doing a perfect job!
