    same for me,
I ordered a Lancer Evo and a Vyper and both of them don’t have the extra pinion.
It is a pity because they are on the manual too !

the tube will be a good tip, maybe a cardboard is the best resort.
My IR experiment gives good results with cardboard shield.
I used it for lasertag gun and it works great.

I hope you can post soon your schematics !!

    Keep on the good work

    Hi,
great idea !! it can be a very good diy transponder.
how do you power the ir transponder ?
have you a circuit schematic ?
what about false hits due to a car passing in a straight near to the IR sensor ?
what about transponder’s placement in the mini-z ?

thank you for you tip and idea, hope that other “propeller’s head” can help to expand this idea !

    Hi,
some months ago, at the start of my bcg ossession (!), I made a dual band controller with two shen qui wei crystal a 27 and a 35 mhz.
Using a switch I used the frequency needed.
Everything was fine except my controller was able to control or interfere severely with both frequency despite of cristal selection.

Have you verified your controller with 2 or more cars ? Or are you running a single car at time so you don’t have interference problems ?

But the forward only 2 mosfets mod has lesser performance than full 4 forward mosfets mod ?
The 2 mosfets used by backward speed affect overall performance ?
The full mod is quicker than forward only in your experience ?

I’m using a single spring but I think a dual spring will be a good idea.
    I’ll try it tonight !:D

    Hi,
    great job !!

I made this mod some months ago, thanks to the german website bitmod.tk using 3 Bitchar-A as guinea pigs… one of them died during surgery but the other two are still alive and kicking !

I did 2 versions, full mosfet (both forward and backward) and a simpler mod with mosfets for forward only.
Both cars seems to have similar forward speed and, of course, the full mosfets has quicker backward speed.
Both cars are more powerful, they gained slightly top speed but have a lot more torque and acceleration.

In the “forward only mosfets” car I used 2 mosfet for steering… wow what an improvement !
The car is now more drivable and a lot more precise; another big improvement is the car’s ability to mantain trajectory and to recover a missed curve !

    Have you similar results ?

    ciao

well, it is a shame that this site is “sponsoring” a thief site with a link from his own link’s page !

btw what do you want to do now? give him full access to the forums ? let him copy posts to populate his forum ? 😯

I really do not understand this situation; I warned you all about this problem but videos are yours, links too so…

Kick their arse for me. I’ve had someone ask me for permission to use that video to help him sell his merchandise, and I said NO. not unless I get a cut, or he wants to pay rental for it. Why should someone else make money out of something that took me hours to do, and I’m not making any money out of.

    Hi,
    a maybe stupid question…

I connected a voltmeter to a rear end chassis with motor, rear axle and wheels (no battery no radio equipment, wired directly to the motor).

If I put a BCG on the rear axle and press forward I’ll read some millivolts on the voltmeter.
What am I measuring in this way ?
Can I take this numbers as a performance indicator of that bcg or that motor ?

    A little freudian mistake !

Sorry Ph2t and sorry micro !

but the question is the same, do I need a bike computer with variable wheel radius setting or can I use a simpler (and cheaper) unit ?

    Hi Ph2t,

has the computer you used something to set the bike’s wheel diameter or is it a simpler computer ?
I just found a computer bike here for 9 usd but it has not the adjustable wheel diameter. Is it usable for your dynotype project ?

welll… we are like the 50% of people who own bcg’s the other 50% are kids…

    Uhm, I don’t think so.
Here in Europe and in Italy there are a lot of “mature” player, definitely not kids.
But they are not toys, they are little rc models… when you take it to a racing tracks they are not more a toy but they are a rc model.
Your acts are the key here, if you play with it like a toy, well it is a toy. Otherwise they are not (think about modification, special circuits, tuning and organized racing…)

ok you demonstated that Vcc adds no meters to our beloved Tx, but do a higher Vcc produce a stronger signal ?

    Hi Ph2t,
    greetings from Italy !

Speaking about your experiment let me give another point of view…

You are disappointed about your results because you are trying to obtain max range.

BUT I race on my track only so I don’t need extreme range… a stronger signal up to 5 meters means less interference and a more responsive car.

I made some experiment with 4,5 and 6 volts and I can assure you that interference are drastically reduced and cars are smoother !

So, another time, GO ON !!!
I think it is time to set up a little web site with your precious works, ideas and work in progress !

Another point of view… with this mod I can use my normal NiCd 1/10 7,2V battery pack to power my controllers, I don’t need a lot of AAA batteries but a single 7,2V racing pack, one pack one quick charge and no more battery problems !

    GO !:smiley2:

    Ciao
